in the beginning feedback mattered. i admit I rarely leave feedback, much people don't on both ends from the buyers and sellers. Unless something comes over me to leave feedback I will and if a customer ask then I will.

Sell Similar works! I have 7500 listings and work with blocks of 100 listings. I will do Sell Similar on Friday / Saturday / Sunday to put me on top of my category browses. I have it set so that no listing is older than 6 months.

It always help me to end and sell similar, getting rid of old stuff.

I also found that creating sales events on Friday and ending Sunday at midnight helps too. I just did a sale over the Thanksgiving weekend and hit 5K in sales in 4 days!

Are you doing this on listings that don't have watchers, many watchers..? What if you have a lot of watchers? In general

Just go to a golf club store , like golf warehouse .. and ask one of the guys for a box ( they have a lot in the back ) they’ll give you a couple for free .. I’ve done it at least 20+ times .. make sure you ask for one for “iron , driver , iron set etc “ and yes I always use UPS .. just make sure if it’s close to 48” you make sure it’s under so they don’t try to overcharge you later .. I take pictures with measuring tape and write dimensions on the box in sharpie and also * took pictures * Haven’t had that problem since

Sometimes sellers just ask way to much for some items. I will message them comps most the time it is items i bought. Say the Niche items If I have bought 20 items for 25 to 35 each + ship in the last 6 months and they are asking for 269 lol I offer what i buy them for some sellers get pissed and most will decline. I reoffer 6 months to a year later they accept LOL. As a seller I agree and check feedback left, if it's not a sea of red and i have had the items for a while I will accept just to make room.

Scammers suck but honestly they are not that far off from flippers/resellers in my mind. Being charitable is a virtue.

Great way to start a Friday morning commute

Missing a scam. Buyers that are sellers! Two instances two different buyers. They buy said item (one was a baseball card, one was sunglasses). They complain about item, start a return, you get the same but different item back that may even have the problem they said it did and when you look further into their profile and low and behold their profile their niche is the item they bought from you. You get the broke or damaged item and they get the cherry / mint item. :(

To read on the show: If I sell a snowboard on ebay and it cost $50 to ship and then the customer says that they don't like it and they want a refund, do I have to pay $50 for shipping again to get it back to complete the refund?

Had a scammer buy computer cpu's off me, 10 of them for $200+. Shipped to a business location, with a phony name on the address. 1 feedback on their account. They opened a return and sent me back 3 balloons. I contacted ebay right away. First time that has happened to me. My account is 23 years old. It took a week, but ebay sided with me, and kicked them off ebay. The loser will just create another user name. 2311 Edwards Ave South El Monte CA was their address. Google showed it to be a loading dock.

It's odd how newbies are more than likely have these annoying scam issues and scam like messages... and get away with it. It's like a hazing welcome to starting on ebay.

mailing the tools .. back each wrench with a cut piece of carboard then tape it to the cardboard backer / wrap each in bubble .. then use the final outside box with packing inside .. that way the wrenches arent loose , they'll go right through a padded flat tae .. i'd use a box

For photos I bought a box of wood paneling from Home Depot. It looks better than my carpet or kitchen flooring. For board games, I put two panels on my bed side-by-side (inner locking). For clothing I use 4 panels on the floor. When you're done, you simply store the panels away.

When I ever run into an issue low sales etc , I send the CEO an email. I do this to make him aware and at least 8/10 times it prompts a call from Ebay’s executive office where I can speak to someone in upper management

Your shipping is cheap. I'm on Ebay in Canada, I just sent a pairs of jeans weighing 600 grams 400 miles away though eBay's discounted shipping and it cost me $18.89 shipping plus eBay fees on top of that. Jeans were $36,00 plus $18,89 shipping. Selling clothing in Canada on Ebay is dead for Canada, WHERE AS POSHMARK CHARGES $12.50 for up to 2.5kg. I can ship 7 pairs of jeans anywhere in Canada on POSHMARK for $12.50 up to 2,5kg. I think Ebay want the high shipping fees more money in there pocket. Sorry for the rant. And I don't have access to any 3rd party shipping companies
