Fun times. ☝️
That was epic! Thats something i would do...2 questions....1) did you hurt yourself? 2) there are 2 instructors by the door, why didnt they catch you?..i did something very similar about a month ago and smahed my butt on the exit....Hurt like hell....
@@RandomAsh71 I didn't hurt myself, I was laughing so hard. I'm signed off on exits, I'm supposed to know what I'm doing
Their reaction is brilliant 😂
@@thedude669 we were all cracking up. And the first time flyers thought it was great, they were clapping
@@Jenniferlearnstofly how do you find the suit? just got one, not flown in it yet - feel much different to the student (baggy) suits?
@thedude669 felt completely different. The baggy suit gives you more lift and with the right suit, your body has to be in the right position to grab air
Looks like alot of fun!
@@theboemmonkey it's a great way to see what your body remembers without having to think about it
I just started with transitions last night - so much fun!
Your making good progress. Keep it up.
@@westfinger8630 thanks for taking the time to watch my videos
I know how difficult it is! I can fly on my own really well but when somebody else is there I go to pieces ……I’m back flying now, making slow progress which annoys me a bit…but your flying is an inspiration…….
@@RandomAsh71 back flying was a very slow painstaking process then one day it just 🫰 clicked
Great flying Jennifer! Very smooth transitions, I am learning here in the UK and it’s hard work… 10/10 for you…
@@RandomAsh71 smooth on the net but in the air I'm a floppy 🐠
Just brilliant Jennifer! I’m rubbish at formation skydiving myself..your belly to back transitions were great.. A+
@@RandomAsh71 thanks. Barrel rolls were one of the scariest things to learn
Keep going 🤟
@@ChhetriVivek63 thanks for taking the time to watch my videos and comment.
@Jenniferlearnstofly keep pushing forward
Yup, your belly to back transitions are 100% smoother than mine 😅

Video is only 2 minutes due to the cost per hour.
@@jamesphillips2285 flying in 2 minutes rotations is one of the best ways to learn
Tag in the tunnel looks fun, never saw anyone do that before (not that I saw all that much tunnel flying in the first place aside from the place I worked at). Also neat tunnel design, don't see actually round design all that often. From what I've seen most tunnels are octagons or decagon or some such.
@@Tulah I just flew at the tunnel in Tampa and the glass is higher than my home tunnel. That was a great experience
@@Jenniferlearnstofly I bet. Tunnel I used to work and fly at had also very tall glass panes. It's pretty nice to be able to see the outside view when you're high up :-)
LOVE THIS! Looks like a whole lot of fun! Will have to ask my instructor to try it with me. Thanks for sharing!
@@AllenFlight I found that incorporating a game of Tag in my rotation helps. It shows you how much is muscle memory and it's fun to chase your instructor around
Wow, this looks like a gas!
@@incognitotorpedo42 it's always fun trying new things. I'll be honest, it's also a little scary.
It is easier with a suit with grips and not taking the grips on lower legs!
@@BjorckBengt grabbing the leg is difficult without grips for sure
Congrats! You owe me a beer 🍻😉
@@joey-joseph I'll be at Z Hills this weekend
at 0:52 sec... what u tried to do? :D transition to back?
@@xhector I was trying. It was the first time with 2 others doing lines and transitions, it freaked me out.
Great progress! I am at similar level now. I struggle with capturing lift with my shoulder and helmet. I crouch too much forward and get too little lift from the helmet. I also stretch my arms too far back which tends to curve my upper back.
@@BjorckBengt I'm always getting told I need to have my head back as well.
Big step forward!
@@BjorckBengt Thank you. I'm flying at the tunnel in Tampa next week. It'll be the first time flying in a different tunnel
I hope so. Now I'm just trying to stay up
That lift at 2:04 was great. Progress will probably come faster now.
Something to aspire to!
Nice! Do you skydive as well? I found it easier to sit while skydiving. The rig helps a lot and as you transition the speed increase helps too and there is no wall around you.
@@BjorckBengt I don't and not planning on jumping any time soon. My husband jumps and watching him land is good enough for me
Shoutout to Oakville! Been there, everyone on the team is awesome!!
That looked very difficult, but I appreciate you sharing and your perseverance! Yes, you make the back flying look easy... Only a matter of time before you get the back-to-sit transitions down!
Looks great! Now you have quite long time in the sit position. Managing level next!
@@BjorckBengt that's what I'm trying to work o
Not easy, but be pleased that your back flying is now without effort.
@@BjorckBengt once something becomes second nature, there's always something new to learn that humbles me during this experience
Great job, keep it up! I know it’s difficult and the instructor makes it look effortless…..I started back flying a week ago or so and it’s not sinking in yet……2x10 minute sessions tomorrow so hopefully I will improve……keep going young lady…..
@@RandomAsh71 I felt the same way when I was learning to back fly. I never thought I would get it but then one day it just clicked. I promise it will get better.
Got my next flight booked for next month. I purchased the return flight voucher good for 10 flights. Hoping to get checked off for Level 1 by then. My first flight is on my channel. My instructor said I did really well for it being my first day.
@@kcg795 That's amazing! It's really an incredible journey
This was great! The amount of control that the coach and you demonstrated... nice! My instructors had me do a little bit of this recently to help me be more relaxed, not be so "boxy," and in greater sync with my body in 3-dimensional space. I found it very difficult at first, but earlier this week, it was getting a little bit easier. Keep flying!
@@AllenFlight Thanks. That wonderful coach is my husband who's been jumping for over 20 years
@@Jenniferlearnstofly Again, even more amazing that you can share this experience with your husband! Did he talk you into indoor skydiving or did you watch him and wanted to try it? My wife encouraged me to take lessons. It's been something I wanted to do for years, but never found the time. My dad passed away last year and my wife thought iFLY could serve as a form of therapy for me. So, now I make time to go and it has been a big help so far.
@@AllenFlight I love watching him fly in the tunnel but it was actually two really good friends of mine who made me join them as a first timer. After that, I was hooked
Great job! You are making great progress!
Just went last week and had a blast. I ended up buying 2 more 2 minute flights while I was there. At that time, I got to learn turning, forwards and backwards, and up and down. Then I bought the return flight voucher good for 10 flights. Went ahead and booked it for next month. So, I'm hoping the muscle memory will kick in and I can start reacting automatically without thinking, just like when we walk or swim. On my next trip, I'm hoping to improve enough so the instructor can be further away from me.
this it was weird when i first started this how the sir just disappears
@@natebass1482 it took me awhile to "trust" the wind
looks good how many session did it take to get to this point. A few years ago, I started to learn to back fly did two 10min sessions amd its tough on the brain till it clicks lol
@@natebass1482 I would say it took me a little over an hour for back flying to one day click in my head
Wow. That was intense and looked like a lot of work and concentration! Looking forward to seeing when you've got the transitions completely under control. Great job so far! I am just getting off the net on my back. Still wobbly though. I can turn, but am having issues moving forward and backward. Back flying is definitely harder than belly flying. But I am really enjoying the overall journey and am learning a lot. And it helps to watch videos like yours and see there are others who are taking this journey too! Keep going!
@@AllenFlight I'm happy that you're enjoying my videos and getting inspiration from them. Back flying was definitely the hardest for me, I promise you one day it will just click and just happen. Happy Flying 🪂🪂🪂

I really enjoy your update videos. They are very helpful in my own iFLY journey. I am learning 2-way flying as well. Keep going!
@@AllenFlight Thanks. Keep going even when you think it's too tough
Great to complement with FS. FS is so very different from FF. Many great FF coaches have no idea how to do proper FS even when they seem to be in total control of flying. You need one coach for each discipline.
@@BjorckBengt thanks! I'm flying with my husband in these videos. He's an amazing FS flyer

@@Jenniferlearnstofly soooon, you'll get to see me hit the wall attempting my back to sit transition 😅
Most of us started with basic FS formations long before we learned barrel rolls and back flying, which makes us think it is easy, but the only things which are easy are the ones we have spent time and effort to learn.
So true.... What's difficult can become easy over time with the proper training and execution.
Great transitioning to back flying.
