Not only is this harder to react to than the side step, sneaking in a charged ki blast is a huge deal if u have a char like ssj4 gogeta or goku that do 5k with it. it's like half a super and your combo is reset

3:43 It's not that the game still thinks you're in the step barrier, it's that you gained back movement control after the charged ki blast landed & Goku is rolling but Goku's not outside of the barrier, so long as you input a Step-in Attack before Goku falls out of the barrier, you can still get your move to come out. Also, the gravitational pull isn't applicable to only Grand Slash; it works w/ Heavy Finish to a degree too. Basically, any charged square or Heavy Finish, Grand Slash, will be given a gravitational pull. Really not sure why they made it that way but... it works, I guess. As for the tech itself, it's not bad. I do that flank maneuver all the time but I'm not one who typically goes for resets so I wouldn't've thought to try this. lol. Nice, stylish reset. I like it. I'll probably try it when I get on again. Good stuff.

I actually would argue that this tech is definitely much better than doing a regular side step especially in higher ranks, it catches them completely off guard considering everyone is sidestepping like crazy rn. This is great for switching up your offence. Thanks for this my bro

Looks like he d through your ult at 12:30 sadly. I’ve seen it happen to various supers if they hit right as a character enters sparking it nullifies the beam. I believe it only occurs when powering up to sparking normally, as instant spark still appears to leave one vulnerable.
