SO MANY BITES!! Fishing a speckled trout honey hole
Found a nice spot to fish during low tide. Speckled trout were feeding! Just maybe not feeding on the size I was giving them... 😉

Buying My NEW BOAT! | 2004 Triumph 170 CC
มุมมอง 4.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A walkthrough of my first ever boat - 2004 Triumph 170 Center Console. I am creating a boating and fishing (both saltwater and freshwater) channel and would love to share my journey! Here I am picking up the boat in Hypoluxo, FL from a dealer called Boat Dynasty. Boat Dynasty: www.boatdynasty.com/ Thanks for watching!
Thank you
Why the videos stopped? I been fishing a 170cc since 2015. It’s a great boat! You still fishing these days? Keep making videos
Haha... What a coincidence. We produced this new jack.
Smaller bait!!!
I have the same boat other than I have the DC 170. Love my boat
What was the price of the boat? I’m looking for similar one
I just bought this Same boat I love it
Thank you!!!
how you like the boat? any problems to look for? looking at one for myself.
I own a 170CC with a 90hp Suzuki 4 strokes. As the Suzuki is quite a heavy motor, i had to add Smart Tabs SX to keep on the step at slow speed ( 10-12mph ). Without de Tabs, with a 21'' pitch screw, it goes easily 55mph. But with the Smart Tabs ''on'', it goes 48mph. And it goes on step with the blink of an eye. Incredible boat!!! I've been in many North Quebec expedition with it, also on the ''Fjord du Saguenay'' ( Saguenay river, saltwater for deep see fishing ) and East coast of Maine for blue fish/striper. One of the greatest fishing boat ever built!!! Also fish on the St-Lawrence River, in Québec area. I added a Nissan 8hp kicker for trolling and always have a back-up in case of problem with the main motor.
What does your boat weigh?
@@Rob.schumacher 1000 pounds for the boat, 500 pounds for the 90hp Suzuki, 100 pounds for the kicker.
As someone grew up in palm beach and Treasure coast areas, I think I recognize those power lines and ICW... Gotta as if this is up by the st lucie nuke plant?
no new videos? did you give up the channel?
is that the Subaru 4cylinder? any problems towing that?
If You had read the instructions You'd see that the mounting bracket needs to be quarter turned so that the mounting bolts are as close to the top and bottom of the tongue surfaces so it doesn't swing off to the side and drop the trailer on someone's foot.
Idiot! Why the heck would you drive away with the trailer jack down??? I really just need to know because I've done it twice!!
Great boat and layout. Congrats!
Any room up front for a bow mounted trolling motor?
Yup, I installed a bow mount xi3 trolling motor on it
Just wondering they make out the hull by plastic? How did it hold up over the years? Thx
Who will clean up our homes? When will they have to follow regulations?
Nice video. Thanks for showing the speeds. Are you still pretty happy with this boat? I'm looking the same boat, but it has a Honda 50HP on it. I'm planning to use it to fish skinny water and run a trotline for crabbing.
Hey bro, do you mind sharing how much was the cost of the boat?
$9500 when I bought it. Sold it for $10k a few months ago.
@@outonthewater8383 copy thanks! I’m currently looking for a bigger boat. Do you recommend the Triumph 170cc? Im stuck between that or a Boston whaler 17ft
And new vids! 👍
Hey man! Still using the triumph? Thinking about purchasing one and wanted an update on how you like it.
Great boat, be careful with the loose lines laying around. It's not fun when the prop. Finds them
Apparently, your trailer has a 3"x3" tongue. The jack is made for "up to" a 3x5 inch tongue. At 2:33 in the video, see the empty bolt hole in the upper part of the bracket and an empty hole by your finger? Those holes are for a 3x3 inch tongue. The bracket should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise to be installed correctly. Then the bolts going through the empty holes will fit close to the bottom surface of the 3x3 inch tongue. All 4 bolts will be close to the 3x3 inch tongue. .... No worries as I was perplexed by the same thing until I figured it out. The installation directions for my jack (and apparently yours too) are so poor that the proper orientation of the bracket is not pointed out.
I have a 150 Triumph. These boats are notoriously heavy, dependable, but heavy. They will run an average of 10 mph or less slower than comparable boats depending on engine size.
still got the boat? no new videos
Yes I do! Yeah making videos has taken a bit of a backseat, but I'll be getting back into it. Thanks for the comment and sub John
Need more videos I bought a 1999 logic Marine because it looks similar to yours
Awesome man, that's great to hear. I'll be getting back to making videos soon, thanks for the comment and watching
Hi the 2 hole at the front door compartment. The runs out to the haul. They need to be plugs o just like that open when boat is in the water ?? I just buy one.
I have a Triumph 170 with a 2018 Yamaha 60HP motor and I’ve hit 34 mph on it
I'm doing a carb rebuild and changing all the spark plugs, hopefully I can get it up there. Probably a cylinder not firing I'm thinking
What prop are you using by the way?
What size prop is that you're running?
I just bought the same boat and my live well is not working, do you happen to have any info on where I can locate the pump and such? I’m so lost!!
The livewell pump is in the bilge. At the stern of the boat, there is a circular hatch that is screwed in. Unscrew those screws and you will see the livewell pump on the left-hand side facing the motor. So I have to look into this doing this project too, but before working on the whole livewell pump, look at the switches in the center console where the passenger seat is. Look at the switches and see the quality of the wiring. Mine's pretty loose and beat up so that's something I gotta replace.
Pufferfish bro they are a pain
Hey man where are the new videos?
Subbed. Nice video
Great opening video. I too, own a Triumph 170CC. Love mine. I hope you have many great experiences on your boat. Good luck.
What was your top speed? 25mph seems a bit slow at 5700 rpm. Was that wot? I am real curious because i am looking to buy a triumph or logic 17 and alot of them have 50 or 60hp. Some have 75 merc or 90-115 johnson/evinrude. Goung to have me and another personost times and dont want to be underpowered. Thanks.
Yeah it was my top speed. What I noticed buying the boat is that there were a few extra props. Seems like the previous owner was trying to experiment with them. If you know how to squeeze another 5mph that would be great haha
I just recently got a 02 triumph 170cc. What type of plug so these boats take.
Always go with the maximum horsepower for your boat 👍
I had the 12 ft and 15 ft triumphs. Tough little boats. I am looking for a 17 center console triumph now. What i love about these boats besides that they are virtually indestructible is that you can tow them with a 4 cyl car. They open up boating to those of us who dont have big expensive pickups or suvs. I towed my 15 woth a 4 cyl mazda 6. Hope your boat is running well!
Yeah I agree! I tow mine with a Subaru Forester, 2.5L 4 cylinder. Can't agree more how great it is that it allows us to have a boat but not need a pickup to do the heavy lifting
You still looking for one?
Good for you!. I have had a 191FS for 12 years. I love that boat. It's like a Swiss Army knife. I think too once you have a Roplene boat, you never want to go back to Fiberglass. The only negative for us has been some of the fit and finish issues, but I have a boat to use, not show it off at the marina...It's great here in coastal GA where there are a lot of Oyster rakes and such to bounce into. I am looking for a Triumph 17ft Skiff to get up the brackish creeks, but they are pretty hard to find these days since the company went under. They last for ever though. Cheers.
Great video thank you!

Hey thanks man! Appreciate the shout 🙂
Try a popping cork w/ plastic shrimp.or slow down your retreat.
Thanks dude! Yeah gotta get me a popping cork setup. I had some artificial shrimp with me, but the paddletail was getting so much action that I didn't think to change it over! I was throwing top water yozuris, white paddletail, rootbeer chartreuse paddetail, but not much mirrolure cause i was in some really shallow water.
I have the same boat, try fishing on the incoming tide.
Nice! Love the Triumph boats. Yeah I'm mostly getting out there for the low tide / afternoon, but gonna get out there for incoming high tide fishing soon!
Fishing ASMR. Amazing.
Hahaha fishing ASMR, exactly!
The whizz and click is addicting 😂
Whiiiiiiiizz, click!
What boat & motor are you running and what speeds do you get at cruising? 🛥
Hi the hole at the front compartment is ok to keep it open or plug it.???
@@HayPOWER-PR I plugged it with a rubber plug from Amazon
Dang dude, this sucks big time :( sad for the wildlife.
Yeah it's pretty sad! Won't be anything like the red tide in Tampa Bay earlier this year, but this spill in St Andrews Bay was pretty big.
LOL ohhh yeahhhhhh..NOOO!
LOL so much disappointment. 😂 At least the fish made up for it and hopped in my boat.
Nice video! What kind of speed are you getting out of the boat?
Hey! Thanks man. I'm getting around 32mph with gear at cruising. I'll double check and get a shot for you when I can! 🙂
@@outonthewater8383 Thanks man, I just got the same boat with a 75hp etec. I haven’t got to take it out yet but I can’t wait!
@Austin Green Hell yeah man! I'm excited for you!! Where are you gonna be boating?
@@outonthewater8383 I appreciate it! We are in Surf City, NC
@Austin Green Forsure! Well awesome that you have a 75hp on there. Bigger the better (till 90hp)! 😂
How did you find the boat and negotiate the sale? Did you sea trial the boat before purchase? I've bought and sold ten boats (16-17 ft CCs) over the past ten years in FL. Prior to Covid, you could find good deals any day of the week all over the state, now prices are inflated a little bit.
I was looking at boats probably for about 3-4 months. In my area, it seemed like most of the used boat listings were going up on FB Marketplace and not much at all on Craigslist. I'd periodically check BoatTrader too but knew that it would probably give me results further outside of my proximity of how far I wanted to ideally go. I was writing this whole thing out (some which I deleted), but instead I should probably just make a video to explain. Great question, thanks for dropping a comment, I'll be sure to make a video talking about this soon.
