It is a good saw

I have the HGSW36TS. They discontinued the blower motor after a couple of years. So I found a company that rebuilds them, so I bought the 18" T20 driver and pulled all four screws. Guess what? I won't come out! Maybe it's welded from the other side?!? ...just insanity.

Wrong title, not a vid on CBB61 capacitor but rather a on/off/3 speed switch. But great information on wire colors from switch to original wiring.

thanks for posting honest review and run-down on this machine. Can tell you've used the heck out of it! So many spokesmen on here just repping for festool, appreciate the realness!

I bought this machine through the Festool reconditioned program and have no regrets. It was like new and half the price of new. I've used every banding method from pre-glued with an iron, to contact cement, to a large stationary machine in my production shop. For a small shop, this is the best solution and really nice to use. It's way faster than anything else, short of a large stationary machine.

I have thermador range hood, fridge and microwave. They are all crap. Never ever again. Do not buy thermador.

@ 1:18 "you really want to get 2". That doesn't make any sense. You should get enough to cover the length of perimeter you want to fence. If you have 1000' of perimeter, you would need 3.

My tank was losing water faster then normal and low and behold water has been coming out of the electrical plug! And almost like the seam on the filteritself. Ive had it for about 15 years now. I finally found a place that sold me just the motor. Now im wondering if its just the plug. Idk but water damaged my oak fish stand and I took the motor as a loss and bought new but it needs all the parts changed over from plugs to o-rings, to the propeller. It litterly was just the motor. What kind of silicone do i use to plug this hole?

You don’t need to take the lock apart at all to use the change key (yellow key) You also don’t need the change key you can either make one out of an old key or use a simple paperclip

I'm a technician and I totally agree, Thermador has shitty customer service, it's like they are doing you the favor of selling you parts. Then they discontinue parts and tell you that the option is to replace the entire unit, yes, 5k for a simple $80 motor... don't buy it, plus you are just buying an expensive name, they don't manufactur the controls or the blower motors

Actually, the easiest fix (and what worked for me) is doing a factory reset.

This isn’t a fix. Cycle the lock 2 or 3 times and the spring normalizes right on back to its default state.

Just been pulling my hair out over the Neutral blue. Turns out it wasn't connected inside the motor, blanked off.

Not what it’s for but it works.. with any tape ever made ever….😂

Lmao. Many uses, just like the level. The finger hole is to stop the tape from moving. If you wanna stop the tape so you can draw your line with a pencil you can, if you want to stop it so you can get an estimate by pulling extra length out and holding it instead of pushing in the button that’s on you! Haha. ✅ Its purpose is same as the locking lever, just quicker and easier to use quickly.

Not what it's for at all. You could do what you're doing with the normal lock. It's to hold the tape in position without using the lock button for quick measurements.

I wish I watched this video first. I took the whole thing apart and readjusted the spring but it worked only twice before failing. So tomorrow I will try again. And super funny you say dont throw it out. I am so close to tossing this pos. I just fixed the dishwasher so I am dead set on fixing this dam lock. Thank you for showing how the pin should be flush. Had almost this exact same problem. I went from a U.S. 240V (NEMA L6-20) to a Euro 5 core plug. It was an exciting adventure.

I just tore mine apart and found the pin was gummed up. alittle bit of cleaning and it is function just like on day one. Usually I look for videos prior to tearing stuff apart, but luckily it was pretty simple to figure it out.
