Sunderland town centre is shite. I love Sunderland but I avoid going to the town centre. Concrete jungle. No style. But I love Sunderland despite Labour's antics.

It's improved slightly since my last walk down it, maybe four years ago. There's still a lot of empty shops there and, in places, still far too busy for me to cope with 😂😂 I'd rather walk round The Bridges mate!

Safe til a couple of idiots turn it into a non peaceful protest then all the innocent bystanders get arrested for observing 😂

So the red-light scene London is cheaper than Thailand nowadays to pay for play. Pretty sad and a telling of the economic decline of western world

Nice video . I'm not from York , but a bit closer to home , Sunderland . I like York though , and have been round most of the streets you show . . I just found your channel the other day , you've got some good vids up about your travels . Keep up the good work. Can I ask what kind of camera you use ? I've got a 360 Samsung camera , but to be honest its not as sharp and clear as the one you use .

All gone... strip clubs except 1 which is a rip-off... hostess bars which were rip-offs... peepshows which were fun... naked posters outside sex shops which were seedy... hookers on streets who were clippers...

I was born and raised in Sunderland many years ago , when it was rather nice . Outside of the Bridges shopping centre , Looks like downtown Detroit nowadays .

Enjoyed this one, York is one of my favourite cities in the UK and I've been countless times, most recently in March (video on my channel if you are interested). I like the pace of life in York and if you are looking for things to do or include in a future video then walking the city walls is a must. Great views right around the city. Also the National Railway Museum is always a draw for me. Keep up the good work mate.

Soho is shit nowadays compared to 13-14 years ago, 90% of the walkups are gone. Either boarded up, turned into resturants or Apartments. Soho used to be like a mini version of Amsterdam, i used to spend so much money there on bateman street, peter street, brewer street, old compton street, frith street. All gone all those sexy girls and great memories all gone forever now.

Greetings from London UK, sunderland is a shit hole, always was and always will be, i unfortunately had to spend the first 36 yrs of my life there before i could find a way out and i will NEVER go back, i would rather die than have to live back there again...

Good stuff mate! It's been thirty years (at least) since I took a walk around that area and the only thing that's maybe changed is that it is less busy than I remember. Never been there as a punter and I've seen a bit of trouble there too, which isn't a pleasant memory. It looks fairly good natured in your video. God bless the DJI Pocket 2, also my camera of choice. I see no reason to upgrade it. 🙂

done live music there many times, the nightlife is like none other. nice to see someone else's perception, always felt that in the back. ... . if you want a sense of adventure just go for a drink here. .

I miss the old Soho of the sixties it had character and a real vibe.the strip clubs and night clubs clubs there was always an exciting hint of danger about the place and the many Jewish delicatessens bakers and restaurants along with the tiny Italian coffee bars gave it an international feel. Nowadays it's no different to any other city centres. Starrbucks, pret manger Costa, Mc Donald's etc

I went to the College of St Hild and St Bede in Durham. It's beautiful near the cathedral. Sadly the Colpitts, my favourite pub in Durham, was closed when I went back 18 months ago. I will return.

I'm 71 now, sunderland was my home town, i left age 36, the best thing i ever ever did because sunderland is a shit hole always was and always will be... thank God i don't have to go back there EVER...

I have a suggestion for his next video, he can claim to be a mechanic because he put petrol in a car.

By the looks of it, this walk was done very early morning, or perhaps a Sunday. Most times, those areas would be busy. A whole lot of work has been undertaken in the city centre recently and the place is better than a lot of working towns, that’s for sure. Try the sea front next time - a glorious stretch of coast that other North East cities don’t have!
