They wither down some skin on your body parts, and especially your face (face tumors exist and are most common.) Not only that, but there have been cases that tumors grow teeth, nails, and hair, bone and muscle (teratoma.) My theory/headcanon is that the substances that were injected into Oliver were tumor cells. And, since, the specific amount was never given, i could assume he was injected with 10-ounces of tumor cells 10 times. Not to mention, judging how time passed from the experiments to Sodor Fallout, i can assume Oliver was being experimented on for one and a half years. This gives exactly one and a half years for the tumor cells to mutate. And the legs could be explained as such: they are not spider legs, but rather the tumors, that have spread inside Oliver, infecting his innards. Not to mention, as I stated before, tumors contain/grow muscles and bone; two things needed for a functioning leg joint. And due to the fallout, the radiation added cancer cells to this already tumor infested steam engine. Due to the cancer cells help break down Oliver’s skin faster, the tumors can mutate faster. Edit: This is entirely pointless!!!

Trivia and Scrapped ideas and dropped 1. This episode nearly got cancelled due to high number of derailment during production such as the mail van on the rail points often switch automatically resulting the vans derailling so much that i had respawn several times and 2:44 1020/Dane tender derail 2. 1020 Is atleast pulling 17 mail vans with 1 brake van 3. Hawin death was originally going to have his upper face completely gone with his mouth completely gone (see the community section) 4. The chase scene was originally going to appear in episode 4 but i scrapped the idea 5. The Atlantis song made by Audionautix was used in 1020/Dane runs away 2:24 but i dropped the song to avoid copyright (though the windsound effect did hide the song i still dropped) and replaced with Hellhole instead 6. Originally i was going add another ending after Oliver witness Hawin death This being back at the Dean Valley Railway, Don Nesson Vandenberg make a decision and a scene cuts to him to talking his own engine this idea was never scrapped or dropped i forgot to add it. However this scene will appear in the next episode. 7. Some scenes 1020/Dane leaving the yard was speed up because of the heavy train and the scene 1020/Dane crossing the bridge is reversed because of the heavy train 8. 4:58 i mistakenly call Hawin,”Toby”
