@@n4meless24 maybe figured it out. When I grab an item and reset while the item name is still there then the next item name will be one spot below it. Isn’t there something added where you can have two item or effect popups at the same time in repentance+?

If you are playing with people close to you/with good connection, at least from my experience, it's unnoticeable. I don't know if pc performance impacts it in any way.

I wonder how games like GTA V can achieve a 32men P2P which feels seamless most of the time, unless you're playing out of your region. Any clue on how that's done? Maybe they could implement something similar!

@ i unfortunately dont know that deep as ive never implemented it myself but im guessing it might be better overall netcode (im not certain), there are massive studios behind them after all

@ doing any type of multiplayer is very VERY difficult especially like a game in isaac with a custom engine, theyll probably slowly improve it over time

@ a good implementation imo would be something like how minecraft java does multiplayer when you make a singleplayer world in minecraft it actually spins up a internal server which then you connect to on the same machine, when you open to lan it just opens the internal server for outside connections in isaac it could be like | pc1 | | pc2 | | pc3 | | pc4 | server-client- client-client | client the host (the one who started the lobby) connects to itself as a client and the others connect to the hosts server as a client this would still lag if the host has a bad connection but atleast it wont lag if the host has a good connection and one of the other players dont this also puts more stress on the host’s cpu but isaac isnt a hard game to run it shouldnt be a problem this way of doing this will also avoid the main drawback of servers being the hosting costs as the server will run on the hosts machine

@@n4meless24 alternatively to all i just said there are multiple papers about optimizing peer to peer, i dont know isaac's implementation but the papers can probably help somewhat to lead them in a way for optimisation

I am in love right now with both EID and my QoL mods, can't wait to see how modding becomes, and if eventually Repentogon will allow us to get mods online!

Now mods are more easily portable to rep+! Still have to wait for the mod Devs work, although the graphics one seem to all be fine.

its most likely peer to peer which means no server though it should be still possible for sprite and sound replacement mods to exist any lua code would be off limits, no isaac mod is architecturally designed to be ran peer to peer, and if it was it would hqve to be installed on everybody, if you did it without a major coding api rework and lua code changes it probably will immediettely desync and cause chaos

@@n4meless24 really? i thought it was p big. the dead bird buff was nice, but didn't work with soul heart builds, so this made the buff way more practical
