What I found to work good on these smaller boats is a single louver under the jet. I tried the double set up too but it wasnt beneficial.

What kv motor
5400kv hobby wing
For this boat I would recommend a 3500kv to 4000kv on 3 cell to keep the jet from cavitation
And try to move the battery to the front and move the esc back to the side to keep the front down
Finally I’m seeing some brushless conversions for this thing
The brushed works pretty good too
It is pretty fast for a brushed boat tho
This guy does real stuff but in rc cars so cool 😎 all you need is manual rc cars
Idk if manual rc cars even exist 😅

Would you believe it if I told you for 2 batteries same boat and all it’s only 50$ at Walmart I had to get one for myself

The automatic self right does not really work but just giving it forward and reverse throttle should do the trick
