DREM05 - Pore Pressures and Fracture Pressures
By the end of this module, you will have a good understanding of:
Pore Pressure: You will grasp the fundamentals of pore pressure and its significance in drilling operations, enabling you to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
P-Z Diagram: You will be able to interpret the P-Z Diagram to analyze pore pressure variations with depth, facilitating informed decision-making during drilling activities.
Pore Pressure Gradient: You will gain insight into pore pressure gradients, equipping you with the knowledge to manage wellbore stability and optimize drilling performance.
Overbalance and Underbalance: You will understand the concepts of overbalance and underbalance, allowing you to maintain the delicate balance between wellbore pressures and formation pressures.
Normal Pressure Gradient: You will learn to identify and manage normal pressure gradients, ensuring safe and efficient drilling operations.
Abnormal Pressures: You will recognize the origins and implications of abnormal pressures, enabling you to mitigate risks associated with drilling in challenging environments.

The drill bit is an important component in the drill string. The bit drills the rock in many mechanisms. The drilling bit is selected according to the formation to be drilled.

VERY INFORMATIVE AND LEARNING FOR EVERY ONE WHOES BELONG A TO REALTED FIELID OF OIL AND GAS
Appreciate the feedback!
Very excellent video this Leave a comment just for the algorithm to show it to more people
good
Super
thank you
Can you a lesson about drilling in offshore, and include about DTO, Divertor, Casing Head Housing, Casing, Tubing, CRT, BHA, RTTS packer, Cementing Shoe, Hanger etc @offshore rig. Also if you can do video information about casing, cementing, casing hanger working, RTTS packer usage, BHA, CRT, DD. Will be helpful
Well noted, will consider it in future courses. Stay tuned. ❤️
@@kwstn appreciated 🫶🏼
Please hydraulic catwalk
Good information
Now this is cool
Gee so much for the environment
At least it’s not sand
Safety ? How about showing how many certificates you need?
Gee I been well testing for 40 years ! How about showing someone swing a 20 pound hammer! This must be ai , what about drill out, and h2s safety? How about showing how to get the Barron box to work !
Very useful information
I want formations on DST job, And the equipment surface
this was one of the best training i have seen well done sir
Good
Thanks 🙏
Thanks, good illustration.
Wonderful work ❤
Thanks a lot 😊
Thanks, great explaining
What's maximo diferential pressure in sand filter?
The maximum differential pressure in a sand filter typically indicates the point at which the filter needs to be backwashed or cleaned to maintain efficient operation. This pressure varies depending on the design and manufacturer specifications. It's crucial to consult the specific guidelines provided by the sand filter manufacturer for precise information. Operating a sand filter beyond its maximum differential pressure can result in damage to the filter media or the filter system itself. Regular monitoring of differential pressure and timely maintenance, such as backwashing or filter replacement, is essential to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Thank you for interesting video about DST.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I like it!
Thank you 😊👍
NAH NAH NOT SPRING TRAP 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💀💀💀
Want Details of Mud Pumps and Drawworks...
Stay tuned, this is coming in the next modules.

Which book have you followed for this video?
The insights in this video on well testing have been carefully distilled from a myriad of literature, incorporating diverse viewpoints to present a thorough examination of the subject matter.
Excellent
Thank you 👍
do you have separator operating course/ material/ manual as well?

we can adjust the choke size (adjustable choke) to make it the same as on the well?
Yes, you can adjust the choke size on an adjustable choke to match the choke size on the well. This will help to ensure that the flow rate of fluid or gas through the choke is consistent with the flow rate through the well. However, it is important to note that there are a number of factors that can affect the flow rate through a choke, including the type of choke, the fluid or gas being choked, and the pressure differential across the choke. As a result, it may be necessary to make some adjustments to the choke size in order to achieve the desired flow rate.
can we install the same choke bean (fixed choke) size that is on the well (same wellhead choke size)?
Yes, you can install the same choke bean (fixed choke) size that is on the well (same wellhead choke size). This is a common practice, and it can be done without any problems. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: - Make sure that the choke bean is compatible with the well. The choke bean should be made of the same material as the wellhead choke and should have the same orifice size. - Install the choke bean carefully. The choke bean should be installed so that it is flush with the wellhead choke. Do not overtighten the choke bean, as this could damage the wellhead choke. - Test the choke bean after installation. Make sure that the choke bean is functioning properly and that there are no leaks.
Fantastic and interesting
Thank you 🙏
Thanks great work.
Good one.
Thank you so much 🙏
I injured myself on a service rig. Broke my leg really badly, had to get plates and screws in. 2 years later im still deemed unfit for roughneck work. Would well testing be a bit easier on my bad knee compared to roughnecking? I'm thinking of trying to get into well testing even though it doesn't pay as well as roughneck but maybe this is because it's lighter on the body? Easier?
Well testing is generally less physically demanding than roughnecking, but the suitability of the job for your injured leg depends on your specific medical condition. Consult a medical professional for advice.
@@onemoretime734 met a air hand today. He said anyone with rig or well testing experience can get a air hand job pretty easy. And bieng air hand is not as much physical or heavy lifting
Good job
Thanks a lot 😍
Can you make videos on BS&W?
Yes of course, there are already one in the Separator course video.
