Tai Chi for Beginners - Understanding "The Grind"
Very well explained, well done.
yes
Dug Corpolonga is a good teacher, posts on youtube everyday
Also breath in or out please that is more important
Breathing not important for taiji. The classic teaching is breathe naturally. Timing the breath to the movements is not good practice. Focus on relaxation as #1 and the breath will take care of itself over time. That said, when not doing taiji, good to become a belly breather in general for health and wellbeing, which as a side benefit reduces tension in the chest area, which will be good for relaxation in taiji. Hope that helps. .
@CenterLifeBalance thank you so much ❤️🤌
Thank You so much for valuable tips and insights🎉🙏🙏
How chi feels like???
It’s subjective, and it changes as we develop. Each person will experience it different depending on their level of practice, relaxation, and alignment. I experience it as connection and aliveness. Meaning that when my alignment is good, and relaxation is deep, the body feels connected, full, and alive. Ask me again in 5 years!
@@CenterLifeBalance oh so it changes. Thats good. I feel many things when i practice tai chi, i will be careful now. Thanks teacher
Most excellent

Thanks you for the zontent and wisdom. Learning to love life and myself and forgive myself is taking time but at least I am trying...
Word. This is exactly what I teach . Live in the moment, feel harmony and connect with the universe. I haven't heard anyone talk about wildlife. I have had countless encounters with wildlife while practicing. It's almost like they are curious or fascinated. Practice !
As an American, Thai Chi's fake dude, it's made up, imagination woo. If you want a real marital art try kung-fu or aikido.
Tai Chi is Kung fu, fool.
"Tai Chi is a long game" LOL! Ain't that the truth! Loved your 10 tips. Thanks for a great video.
Thank you for your channel and each video you release. Your instruction is exactly what I’ve been searching for and I’m very fortunate to have found it. Your instruction is helping me in many ways during a time in my life I need it and I will continue to access it moving forward. Thank you again.
How nice to have a non-American accent for a change! We, as Americans, have developed an accent, enunciation, style that is so "car salesman act"! We don't notice it, much less have an awareness of how consumerist and puerile our culture is.

Thank you for the silence and presence and silence within.❤ Presence is aware ness
Thank you❤
Thank you!! This is very, very helpful. Your teaching is stellar! ❤
Thank you mum from Fonegsl Do I hear a fellow Irish accent ? Love your lessons
Good content never died .. thank you
Nice, tnx! Questions / suggestions: 1. Whats diff bn single hand silk reeling n cloudy hands. Looks like CH. 2. What or whefe is focus of vision? On outside hand or beyond? Does it matter? 3. Turn body 2 side so we can see elbow coming in; its hard 2 tell fr front view alone. Tnx again!
Cloud hands includes side stepping, but cloud hands also includes silk reeling. Your eyes follow the direction of the energy, but if that’s a bit ambiguous let the eyes keep hands in view at all times. There should be another silk reeling video on my channel with side views if not I’ll be putting out some new content soon to cover that. Thanks for your feedback.
Thank you
Very good session, so manybyears i practised chi gung, that was pne of the best, due to sustained movements and silence,. The only slight negative was the ads, obstruc the chi. But that's ok.
Hi iam from india my name is Saba. cultivation practice is possible the ladies
Can't thank you enough for sharing such intricate details with so much passion. I was struggling with my stability when training Tai chi, I am sure I was going to follow the instructions in this video to improve my stability. Thank you
Nice transition to second Buddha pounds mortar
And one unbenefit of doing a weighed turn on the right heel. Over time that’s not good for your knee.
I agree with u... Practice makes perfect.... Be consistent and practice one style daily till u master it❤... Thank u for sharing yr valuable advice
Excellent words about Tai chi and I agree with everything. The detail and nuance of Taijiquan is incredible, endlessly fascinating. The understandings practice of this art can lead to are unlike anything else. Tai chi can help improve whatever else you do.
Great instruction/Great video . Cymru Tai chi Wales
Nice master
Really good instructions thank you so much
Best explanation, I will try next week
Is this the same as play the pipa in Yang style?
Unfortunately I’m not well-versed in Yang style, but as I understand it Yang style developed out of observing Chen style so it’s probably very likely.
❤
Thank you ❤
Thank you ❤
24:25 I feel a magnetic repulsion between my palms. What is that? Am I supposed to feel it?
I think that is a common experience, and one I have experienced many times before. It will get stronger and change and evolve as you continue to practice. As relaxation increases throughout the body the energy flows better, connecting previously disjointed parts of the body. I suspect that this is what leads to the magnetic sensations between the hands. Sounds like you are on the right track!
Great advice; thank you.
Hi, what programs do you recommend to become trained to teach tai chi (and develop my own practice), especially for women and children? Thank you. Ps... my son named our dog Shen years ago...and incidentally he has been sitting right next to us, alert and looking relaxed and happy while we have been song morning qigong lately aa a family. Thank you!
I do Yang style Tai Chi and they hold the arms out and higher. I. Have been doing it the way you do and I can relax much more. What is your opinion on the correct way to do standing in the post as it seems there are differences in the way it's done.If you could expound on this topic I would be much obliged, thanks.
In my opinion and from my understanding holding the arms around the height of the centre enables shoulders and elbows to relax and sink down and the back to relax. When relaxation is everywhere and the weight is sinking down into the feet and the soles of the foot are heavy on the ground The arms will naturally rise upwards a little bit as the chi flows to the finger tips and fill up the arms and everything else. At higher levels the arms can be quite high. Same can be said for the form. Are my arms too high or not high enough? am I still relaxed with my arms at this height? If there’s tension in the shoulders then my arms may be too high and I need to lower them until I’ve Learned to relax. Relaxation is the first principle and can be used to guide all positioning of the body .
Just coming up to middle age and have been practicing tai chi for 25 years. I'm so grateful to have this under my belt at this stage in my life
What benefits Tai Chi brought to your life?
Great performance
I hope you create more of these videos. I have been doing this and your other Qi gong videos for a long time and really enjoy them. What part of the world are you in? It looks like down under?
Down under. Apologies I wasn’t receiving notifications from TH-cam just found a heap of comments I didn’t respond to. Glad you enjoyed the videos!
will you be creating more Chi gong videos. I really enjoy the ones you have done . ❤ in nature
@@StephEdwardsNaturalTherapist I am working on a course for taijiquan, which is what I practice mostly. I do have a plan for a more in depth qigong mini course, but it will probably be shot indoor. I will let you know when some new videos are ready.
