Capolavoro dei Conqueror
One of the last Kansas songs astounding with magical beauty. There were many, written by Kerry Livgren, on their previous records - like _Lamplight Symphony, Incomudro, The Pinnacle, The Wall, Hopelessly Human_ and more. From Monolith album things ceased being so great (but still _Hold On_ was fabulous on their next), then key members went away, new mediocre ones joined (and no, I'm not referring to Steve Morse), and it definitely wasn't the same until the original six finest members comeback album Somewhere To Elsewhere. But this is history. Here, on Monolith, we get some last reflections of their jaw-dropping class and level, not the entire album unfortunately, but the first two songs for sure. Including this one.

Very underrated ! Worthy of greater recognition and appreciation. Given our current climate and ecological concerns this could be an anthem for our youth of today. Some of us were saying all this in 1970. Nice delivery Alan, great drums from Andy and Graham always a considered composer R.I.P.
