There are hundreds of covers at this point, I don't blame you for not knowing which one's the original. And the stuff with Parrish... it's kinda niche? It never really made it to yt, me thinks, but Miracle of Sound has a bunch of toktiks talking about the situation (inlcuding receipts and all). Yes! They do! Up until the Black Flag book it's basically just the plot of the games, the one for Syndicate plays out side by side to the game and after that I think they just flesh out the world more? Idk, I have only read two of the Ezio books, the Black Flag book, and the Syndicate book (which I don't have anymore because I lend it out to the wrong person x.x) Listen. We love a good leather moment, okay?! xD I mean, the book does fit both songs, if you think about it. I'd connect Alice more with Alexi than with the whole book, whereas In the End reminds me of the emotional pain Constanta feels whenever her husband retreats from her or when she sees Magdalena and/or Alexi suffer. I did like the epilogue for stated reasons. It did feel a bit left field, I give it that, with the sudden shift in perspective to Alexi, but I didn't mind it. Maybe that's just my queer-poly butt talking here xD I don't think Shadow of the Gods would work as a novella tbh. It's just one of those fantasy books, you know? I'm pretty sure, all of this set up is needed but only further down the line in the trilogy. Do the continued repeats of minute descriptions annoy the living, dead, and undead poop out of me? Yes. But that's just how John Gwynne writes. There's not necessarily a lot of padding (like in Assistant to the wannabe Villain); it's just a very slow moving book. Any time! As I said in your stream recently: I'm down for a round 2, should you ever want to xD

You make it sound like I'm 14 years old xDDD To be fair, I did grow up on Linkin Park. Hybrid Theory has to be my favorite album of them.

@@ThisKiwi03 Horrible Histories is actual history but make it funny and sometimes musical. The book itself is pure fiction, but I expect an accurate depth of the time setting^^

there is a big-ish bookclub on youtube doing a readalong for his books AND he's coming out with the finale to another trilogy soon, that's probably why he's everywhere right now^^

The Saga wasn't out yet when I made the RtB recs for you, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't Legendary xDD But I scratched all 4 of my Musical Playlists off of the possibility list for said recs xD I think I mentioned that I could do another set of recs for you and make them JUST musical songs. But even then I wouldn't put Legendary on it. Steven Roderiguez is in EPIC The Musical, so you would probably get Ruthlessness (Poseidon's big mad anthem), if I were to put EPIC on there xDDD Although I'm not sure I would put any of the Sagas on the list 🤔 I'm getting ahead of myself; I like talking musicals, sorry 🙈

The first book in the scythe trilogy actually can get away with being a standalone imo. You just have to be okay with the somewhat open ending of the story. But it's the kind of open endedness that works, if you know what I mean. I personally am a BIG fan of the musings of the Thunderhead in book 2 (which replace the diary entries of the Scythes between chapters from book one).
