Hey Tommy, this is Mike with US Plumbing. I didn’t know who you were until about two months ago-since December 9th, when I stumbled upon a video of you and a 1-car garage on TH-cam. I was blown away when you talked about your average ticket, and I thought, what the heck? The way you’ve scaled your business to generate $100-$200 million is amazing. My average ticket is around $5,000, and I couldn’t believe how you’ve made it work at such a massive scale. After watching that video, I bought both of your books, listened to them all the way through, and 100% agreed with everything you said. Honestly, you inspired me to make some big changes. I even joined a CrossFit gym and started taking my health much more seriously. I can already feel the difference-not just physically but also in my focus and income. Right now, my bank account is sitting at -$792, but I know this is temporary. Back in September, for my birthday, I booked a call with Mike Andes and got some great advice that really helped me rethink how I acquire customers. Now, I’m cold calling and focusing heavily on B2B business. The reason my bank account is negative is that I spent last month systemizing everything, just like you suggested. I was making PowerPoint presentations for my team, even though I haven’t touched PowerPoint since high school. I’m 28 now, graduated in 2015, and this whole process has been a major learning curve. Taking that month off to focus on building systems took a toll on my revenue because I still had to pay my team while I worked on the business. But this week, things have started to turn around. I decided to invest in a CRM last month, and this week, my assistants were able to book a job without me having to do anything. Today, my guys went to complete a job that I didn’t even have to see beforehand. Now, I finally feel like I’m running a real business. Even though I took a hit by taking time to focus on systemizing, I know it’s worth it in the long run. My break-even point is around $5K-$6K per month, and I’ve still got overhead to manage. But today, I closed a $48,000 deal that will be completed in two weeks, so I’m not worried about cash flow anymore. Honestly, I think I might have ADHD because the way you talk and how you operate explains me perfectly. My team jokes that all they hear is “Tommy Mello, Tommy Mello” because I talk about you so much. It’s like you’re my business crush or something. It amazes me that your TH-cam videos only get a couple hundred views. I forget where I heard you mention this, but you talked about how people told you not to share your “secret weapons.” And yet, you still do. It blows my mind that people won’t spend $20 on your books or take the time to watch your videos. It’s like finding gold, and I’m just sitting here wondering why no one else is listening to this guy. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for everything you do. Your advice is changing my life and my business.
