@KismetWLS @the Feral Grandma 👋 I noticed when I sub'd you go by Kismet, but then didn't snap to it when I replied above. Now I'll never forget. See ya' soon in the chats...! MAHA 🇺🇲 Eat Meat
❤🙂👋👍🇨🇦
Nice to put a voice to a name! Love the accent. Is Berford related to Scooby, lol? Or maybe Dogbert? Nice video, Boyd! Do you have the same camera as Mitch? You should use it more often. 🙂👍🇨🇦
@loriweitzel Howdy Doody, Lori! Yes, BerfordDaDawg is a direct descendant from SchkoobyDaDog 😆 🤣 😂 Her real name is Summer, but I like Berf 😆 Yes, the camera I was muttering about is the Insta360 X4 camera Mitch uses and has in his links. I bought a fancier Gimble and selfy stick tho' that's not in his links. I specifically bought it with intentions to start recording walks in all the different county, city and state parks, nature trails, out in the woods I've been exploring, or like this morning, just walking in the neighborhood w/DaDawg. Yeah, the voice. 😅 I got over it years ago how I sound to myself...and w/a slight Texas accent hehehe. What I don't like is my pausing, hesitation, repeating myself etc. I'll have to remember in the future to speak more confidently. Don't know why I was speaking so "softly" outside. Was really my first walking video that I texted to my Ol' Lady in case she was wondering we were were at...but I have good intentions of unboxing the gear I bought and try to live stream walks in interesting places. Will take some practice. Have a great one way up there! See you soon on your channel and the others..
@Cleofizoid I hear ya on the hesitating while talking... I might count my "ums" one day but don't wanna deter myself. See ya in the chats! 🙂
Piggies!!! 😂❤
Cool sounds and visuals! 👍🎶🎵🙂

Thank for sharing wisdom
Fantastic video thank you for sharing
I like this version. It has a totally different vibe. I do however prefer the Traffic version with Chris Wood's amazing saxophone work .
I think I have to agree with you Bart. The session is a bit more emotional and raw..But both really good
High Heeled Boys and Flat Souled Women.
Love the slide in the song.
Are you kidding me. All that with just one guitar. How great was that.
Are you still playing drums, Boyd?
Yessir
I think this version is recorded in Holland , during a set at the studio for "twee meter sessies", this were mostly acoustic sessions during the 80/90 also with famous bands like Black Crows, Radiohead , etc check it out , lots of it on you tube
It’s close to but different from the 2 meter version. I think the 2 meter version is even better.. more emotional
Found it yeah!!!! .!!!!!!!! Had it but back bit ago so second time or third or who's got the answer besides
Too bad the original Jim Capaldi version isn't on TH-cam (the one from "The Sweet Smell Of Success" album), it's much better than this one.
Warren has always just crushed this song same goes for JB.
I saw Jim perform a spectacular acoustic version of this song when he did the 40,000 Headmen duo tour with Dave Mason in 1998. There is an album from this tour on Rerceiver Records, and it is well worth searching out.
Thanx Bob. I followed your advice and searched out this recording on Receiver Records Limited. Found a CD in Near Mint Condition for $16.00 US Shipping/Tax included and just clicked out. Thanx again!
Are these guys sorting through our souls and discarding all the waste products and lifting the rest of heights the Heavens could have never even imagined?
Why yes, yes they are.
Black Night (Not Deep purple track)
The best!
truly one of my all time favourite songs...especially Jim's acoustic version
I'll stick to Traffic
un groupe de legende quelle longue carriere j ai eu la chance de les voir
I bought in 1979 a Jim Capaldi record with this song with riffs and solo played with flute. Amazing.
VERY GOOD THANK YOU
Can't find it on Spotify sadly although I have the original as an mp3 now. I will have the original album somewhere in my stash :)
this was on a capaldi solo but not on vinyl...only on cassette...I think it was on the fierce heart cassette... I have it somewhere
the wonder of TH-cam - originally heard this 35 years ago on a midnight rock show - copied version to a casette tape - played loads and then forgotten about until hearing the origianl traffic version on BBC 6 RADMAC - instantly remembered the title but didn't recognise the track until the vocals came in. This is so beautiful
I love this version. Where can I purchase It? I have tried Amazon, to no avail.. .
It's a tough one to find. It can be found on eBay. The album "Jim Capaldi - The Sweet Smell of Success", Or try the following web site esotericrecordings.com...they are remastering Jim's full catalogue of solo recordings. It appears this album is available from them. I originally uploaded the tune from a wav file a good buddy Lance Parkhurst sent me when I was whinging I had lost my "Fierce Heart" cassette I had originally purchased when it 1st came out back in 1983ish. Good luck on your search
...and that is Stevie Winwood on Keys towards the end of the tune...
+Boyd Lamb Thank you for the information Boyd. I will have a look. Many thanks.
It can be found on Amazon. Bout it sometime in 2016, I think. Good luck - it's worth the effort. Amazing tune & arrangement Oct, 11, 2017
I just discovered it yesterday, on Apple Music!
mr. lamb posts only the very best of the best ;) awesome rendition of this classic neil young song
I wish the 2001 version was up on here.
RichyDynamo yes. That fall run in Charlotte was so epic. It was my first Cortez and it was blissfully moving. Anyone film anything from that run ??
WHAT AN ENERGY NITE IT MUST HAVE BEEN!!!
great tune
This song is clear evidence that Jim Capaldi deserves much more acclaim for songwriting than hes ever received. Eloquent lyrics.
What a killer... Not sure if this is only other time they've played this besides the over the top one we caught with JJ at Mikey's last hurrah at Oak Mt??
dschoeny no. Played fall tour 2001
It is wonderful and equally beautiful, if anything even more Trafficky folk. Miss you man.
Yes capaldi wrote the lyrics and Winwood the music. The story Jim told about this version is that he saw a young Irish musician playing it this way so he started to.
Capaldi wrote it. This has very little to do with the Traffic version. This furthers the discussion of 'original writers composition' versus the wildly popular and well-known cover versions. . In this, much like Marty Balin's cover of Jesse Barish's song 'Hearts', the original composer's version is superior. In this case, I have to come down on Capaldi's side.
Jesse preferred Marty’s voice - Balin made it sound too easy...almost corny
thanks, great show it was
@depper Didja catch one of Corky's sticks breaking on a cymbal and hitting the bassist in the temple...he hardly flinched. When I was recording, I wasn't really snapping to all that was going on...on the ride home the Ol' Lady was talking all kinds of smack. When reviewing the pix a coupla hours later, found she wasn't too far off! I wish this was better quality...The "other" band that nite was Joe Satriani.
Great example of the wooden torpedoes flying over Leslie's head ala legendary drummer Corky Laing!!!! Corky is one of the hardest hitters of the skins of all time.
They'd announced the Presidential Election results just before this jam. Maybe the Star Spangled Banner was planned...maybe not.
Sorry I missed capturing the first few seconds of this jam! Was waiting for the encore which would be MS Queen of course. But they went from one song to another with no break or the clap for me real loud or we won't come out BS encore. If it's any consolation my drink was sacrificed for what we have before us...Oh well. Loves me some Leslie West!!!
