We live on just over 6 acres in Indiana. We are in our first years of creating and maintaining our own homestead, and wow, what an adventure! On our channel, you'll find content related to raising chickens, ducks, and dairy goats, growing your own food, and making your own products (like woodworking items and cold process goat's milk soap). We are converting our boring, tiny brick ranch into a cozy cottage and putting in several flower beds. We may not be amazing, but we are certainly “good enough.”
So Many Vegetable and Cut Flower Plants (and Weeds)!
A lot has happened in a month! We wanted to show you how everything has grown... We take you through the initial germination to where they are as of May 31st and made sure to list what we've planted. I take you along on the first big bouquet of the season and try my hand (again - I can't help myself) at flower poetry. It's not exactly Robert Frost, but I enjoyed writing it ;)

@@beautifulcontentment395 we are working on getting some plants and fish to act as natural filters! I’ll have to keep researching to see if we need more than that 😆

Love this!!
Thanks, friend!
Love it!!!!😍
I love that you wrote that poem! That’s amazing! I loved the music and the garden sign off by brad and Anastasia. I love that you wore the same shirt because it was still usable. I enjoyed your video and can’t wait till the next one!
You are the sweetest. Thank you!
Wow! What a wonderful comprehensive garden video. Your veggies are so abundant this year and the flowers are extraordinary. I love the poem you composed borrowing the refrain line "the garden is calling and I must go" and using it as the ending line of each stanza. All so beautiful!
😊❤ thank you!
Where can I find this poem it's amazing.
Haha thanks, that just made my day. I wrote it ❤
The time has come!
U need some!
Go baby!
Yes they were! ❤
Beautiful!
Spring is the best season
Wow! Gorgeous chair rounds!
😊 I love them!
Brad is back!!! Oh yeah! We love you Brad
😊😊😊
For the astute listener, when I said heartwood, I meant sapwood when referring to the lighter colored walnut.
6:01, NOW THATS ALOT OF DAMAGE!!!
😂
Are you referring to when she trampled all of my poor, helpless spinach plants?
@@berkleysdad09I believe he is. Let’s disown him 😂
First!!
Haha. ❤️
Can u have the limewash tinted ?
I’m not sure if you can do whatever color you want, but this company has several shades to choose from!
What an awesome friend you have! 😉 Love the video Erin! ❤
Absolutely! She rocks ❤❤
Love the Garden T-shirt
Thank you! A friend of mine gave it to me. She found it at Lowe’s for $10!
Brad, we love you and your woodwork! Don’t forget to smile on camera! You have a wonderful smile! Erin, I love your chicken helpers as you were weeding! Rock looks fantastic!
Thanks!! And I know!- he really has the best smile. 😊
I really am a smiley person. I think I’m just camera shy and I get nervous.
Totally get that, But I love when you smile! You’re such a nice friendly person in the world needs to know!😊
Great video! The rock in the garden looks so good! Awesome sofa table, too. The finish you applied looks beautiful. On a total side note, every time I'm working on a project at the property, I find myself saying "Good enough." It always makes me smile and think just how perfect your channel name is.
Haha yes! We feel like, as homesteaders, most of us mere mortals have to learn to be satisfied with good enough or we will never move forward!
Lezgoooo new video!!!
You know it!
You are such a pleasure to watch being that your very beautiful looking lady ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love from Australia, is that Lime Putty?
50% dilution means 1 part product and 1/2 part water. Your 1:1 ratio was actually 100% dilution. Quite a bit thinner.
I think it's good
Totally worth it!
They were pretty cute! They even jogged beside me for a moment ❤
Ummm nothing is more important than your pace.
😂❤
Lol YES
That’s why this Chanel is the goat 🐐
😂😂
So good to get hands in the soil! Great project for the whole family, and awesome teaching for the kiddos. 🤗
Yes! Thank you!
Lots of great tips and just peaceful and lovely to watch.
Thanks, Stephanie!
I love that this is a family endeavor!
Me too! Some days are more enthusiastic than others, but they’re always happy to have done it once we get started ❤
Love the video thanks! Makes me excited for spring!
Me too!!
Oh, wow, great tip on sifting the potting mix! I just bought two bags of Miracle Grow potting mix to use tomorrow with my chestnut seeds, and i think I'm going to use your sifting method. Thanks!
Yay! That was Brad’s idea after some of our seedlings struggled with the heavy stuff!
Great vid! ❤❤
Glad you liked it!!
I like the quote on the chalkboard! I’m excited to watch the moon garden progress! Xavier, you’re my favorite weirdo!😘
Haha, I’ll let him know!
Loved watching your family! You can tell how close knit they are and all of them are explorers! Up for anything! Even Boba :(😬
❤❤ thank you! I like them a lot too 😊
