Those times when you are feeling anxious and trying your hardest to avoid embarrassment at all costs by going out of your way to make sure something goes a certain way well next time you notice yourself in that situation just stop what you're doing and do the most difficult thing you could possibly do which is allow the embarrassment to happen you can only be embarrassed so many times before you're embarrassment runs out and once you're embarrassment runs out that's when you're free from the chains of life and you know what I promise you it may sound silly but when you are actually free from those chains you no longer care and so you're you're at a sense of free and yourself in a way that you've never been before see I've been embarrassed in many many times publicly I've been laughed at my whole life so it's like I ran out of embarrassment and that's why I'm always on happy mode it's because I got rid of that paranoia to constantly need to avoid embarrassment or appearing week or in some sort of shame I'm free of that and I can be myself and if anything things that embarrass me or would used to are now a breeze for pretty much people wonder how I stay calm and collective and so happy in the worst of situations just let it go let your anxieties go let the embarrassment happen which is probably pretty difficult for someone who isn't forced to achieve it to do on their own willingly, I would definitely recommend giving it a try because once you have that experience and it actually happens to you the embarrassment, you realize it wasn't as scary as you thought and you actually came out just fine

You mentioned that you felt guilty when you said, "No." In 1978 I read a book by Manuel J. Smith titled "When I say No, I Feel Guilty." This book has given me coping skills, and I wrote about a couple of ways I used them in my autobiography. I could share these with you if you care to read them sometime. Gary Benson.
