Rotary cutter blade should be against the ruler. However, you need a proper straight edged ruler - a quilters ruler.

Allways good to stop and smell the roses for a while; now looking from a distance I see what’s more to be done 😇

Iron is already clean; just some soywax and a paper towel did the trick 😎 when my bottle was empty I took the rest of the tea and overnight that turned beautiful purple 🥰 so I made some more papers; to be shown next time 😇
