tape the intake closed for now....trust me
That is good advice. It's all buttoned up now, but I should have taped it up. I did at least cover the engine when I wasn't working on it
Nice looking car.... I like the dark red. I have a '65 sitting in my garage as well, and it has been one step forward and three steps back. Do your self a favor if you have not done it already pull your steering gear box out and rebuild it that is to replace all the seals inside that have hardened. Mine leaked like a sieve. Now I have the steering column out and rebuilt and will go in this weekend I hope.....God bless. and great video!
I did do the gear box a few months ago. I haven't had it running since to test it though. Good luck, god bless and thanks a ton!
This guy is the most American man you can meet
Why is this sponsored? But overall this is a cool video!
Thanks for the tip, just ordered a wiring diagram for my 1965 Thunderbird.
It is definitely worth the money
🎵"Bucky T don't know SHIT! What's over is over, and nothing between!"🎵
Have a wonderful day
I try to make them all wonderful, you too!
Work continues. I have since taken all of these brake components out of the engine compartment, but it's all bent and set up to go back together.
How am I just now seeing this?
No idea
Educational videos recommend
Thanks
I am constantly losing and misplacing items. it throws my flow off sometimes, but there is always something else to work on
Hieno ja hyväjälkeä👍
I spent probably 12 hours removing a broke bolt and trying to re-tap bolts and nuts for the rear end brackets. Lots of lost time, but it had to be done I guess. I am learning about all of these time killers
I will admit, this project was a little intimidating. In the end, being big, dirty and awkward to handle was the worst part. Next time I will buy or build some sort of stand to hold it for sure. All in all it was a pretty fun project, and I won't be hesitant on the next build.
What do you mean by holes Hey TH-cam turns in double meaning ads Why TH-cam recommended this 💀
There were holes in the car, they got filled with weld and sheet metal. I don't know what else it would mean
What carrier did you decide to go with?
9" Inch Ford 28 Spline Posi Unit - Trac Lok Loc - Traction Lock - 9 Inch - Thats the description. So, it is an upgrade, my old one didn't have the traction lock. Bought it off of Ebay
Buck don't... Nor do I!!
Really cool😮 keep up the good work❤
Sweet! braver man than I am. Your vacuum canister is bad, they installed a plastic one that collapsed. My car has two, as lucky me, I have the vacuum door locks.... oh joy. So I don't know where you live but there are several T bird specialty shops around. The Birds Nest is in Portland Oregon, the Thunderbird HQ is another one i think that is in Texas. What all do you plan to do to yours? God Bess.
Yep I got one now, form Bird's Nest, they are great. It's not installed yet, wiring and vacuum lines are in the near future though. Can't wait!
I haven't used the Thunderbird HQ. I'll check them out. Bird's Nest and Larry's Thunderbird so far for most of my parts
Wow, I'm the first poster... your car looks almost exactly like mine.... dash out, front floor boards out. I had to replace my vacuum hoses. While you have that booster out.... pull the steering gear box our and get a rebuild kit from the Birds Nest, as these leak like a sieve after 59 years. With the engine in the gear box is next to impossible to get out. I also have two wires that are mystery wires that are fried on one end I have to track down. Fun. My shift lever was excellent condition just like yours. I wish you the best! nice color car as well. God bless.
haha shit, you are adding to my list! I have looked at it several times and wanted to get it out just to clean it. I guess I will do that. No time better than now. I actually installed my suspension and booster/master cylinder, but haven't bled the brakes, so it is easy to disassemble. I saw a video on Exit 45 channel, I was wondering if I needed to tackle the steering gear box. But that makes sense. Guess i will. Thanks for the heads up
30 years you put salt in your crawfish😂😂😂 I see the problem now.
Yeah no salt jabronie
‘Put whatever you want in it.’ Okay, I added artichokes, Greek yogurt, captain crunch, Heinz ketchup, and another pound of salt. Why doesn’t it taste good?
Now would be the perfect time to go from the standard 3:00.1 to the optional 3:50.1!!
I probably should have, but too late now. But there is at least a more than 0 chance that it may come back out one day, for various reasons....
Yeah my 68 mustang.......after a stupid wild storm
Must have been a hell of a storm
@@buckdontknow yep water over roof 30 years of progress down loo 🚻 😪
@@68mustangmustang77 Holy shit, that is terrible.
Just found a pair of side cutters, on top of a watet tight electrical box, outside of course, some CLR and some WD 40 and we're back in business 😎
Side cutters always seem to disappear when you need them
you just killed them
Stop putting salt of them, the fuck is wrong with you. That's just unnecessary pain.
😐 texas been doing it wrong
30 years of tortured crawfish
you’ve been doing it wrong for 30 years brotha.
Putting salt on em only tortures em brodie
You don't know shit. As a crab expert for 40 years, you should not salt them
Never put salt in the water
I heard putting on salt doesn’t fuck with the cooking it just makes the crawfish suffer while they are getting cleaned. This University did a test that shows salt doesn’t help with the cleaning process it does nothing.
wow i love karlie
She's OK
Thanks for watching! I've got a small rust issue on the inner fender well, let me know how y'all would go about handling it.
Your old tank had a vent tube made into it!! And your new tank did not isn’t that going to cause issues with filling the tank and drivability issues?
you know I'm not sure. I will find out though. Thanks for the heads up on that. Still have some time before I actually fuel it up.
I checked it, it does have a small vent tube right in the middle on the top, but it doesn't run to the side like the old one. I could easily add some tube to run it down some more, but I'm not sure if that is necessary. I have seen some info on if your car flips, all the gas would just drain out the way it is in its current state. Not likely to happen in this low riding tank, but possible.
Thanks for watching! How do you guys prefer cleaning small parts? I'd really love a blast cabinet, just don't have room for it though. one day, maybe
Thanks for watching! What are you guys spending money on these days? Also, any advice on checking or how to check the evaporator coil would be appreciated. I'm at the point of just gonna slap her back in a see if it holds freon
Fentanyl 🥰🥰🥰
@@JamesHarden24 Everyone has hobbies I guess
thanks for your wisdom buck dont know much. I find your videos very interesting and i love watching them with my wife and five kids. Please keep posting
Thanks for watching everyone! I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on different rust converters and rust encapsulating paints. In the future, I will try to do some converter comparisons, I have had mixed results so far.
And small suff where you don't need gallons you can use toilet bowl cleaner will be much faster than the vinegar
Vinegar is cheap but mariatic acid is a way better solution to me for 4 or 5 gallons you can dilute 1 gallon to make the 5 and it would still be way faster but you don't want to keep any of the acids inside your shop because everything will rust
I'm probably going to try muriatic acid soon.
The Challenger AND your truck??!! Bruh 🙁
Yeah, not a good day
The vinegar needs to be mixed 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar. Not pure vinegar. Evzpo Rust is an excellent product.
OK, I'll give that a shot. I just bought some more Evaporust, and it does work great.
This is amazing Mr. Bucky! 😊
Amazing video. Keep it up👍
Lmao what is the thumbnail and why did i got this ad 😂😂
