9 week old Zulu`s first day at home. The big Eezy accepts him in 2 minutes but it will take a little longer for the Witches of Eastwick to understand he is not a chewy toy.

2 year old Siggi, the IGP obedience routine is slowly coming together. The heeling stick is still in use because this dog will try and forge ahead and take her out of position. The dog will do these exercises because she knows at some point the ball will be coming her way, happy days!

Siggi finds the high head heeling effortless whilst it did not suit Eezy. As a pup he offered this heel without prompting.

2 very different dogs each making good progress but each with different training requirements. The smaller dog Siggi has a huge natural prey drive and aggression and this can be exploited. Eezy has much less prey drive but he has a stronger defense drive, pressure from the helper brings out the fighter in him, he likes to fight and wants to win. We need to give him the confidence that he will win.

Look back to when the pup is 13-15 weeks and the (dark) colour band on the middle of the tail will tell you what colour the pup will turn into.
that's just the violets gland
@@disappotato regardless of name, it will indicate the colour your pup will change to. Follow a few pups and see.
@@LAStars-sratS ..no it's just a gland, my aunts shepherd is a light sable and her tail has a dark mark only on the gland. It's mostly vestigial in dogs, huskies also often have it

My girl is about to turn 1. Her mom was a Sable, and her dad was a Black and Tan. Lol she literally has the markings of both so not sure what you’d call her, but she’s the best!
