Le headcanon I’ve seen old Undertale TH-cam discussions referring Chara as a girl, but I guess since they resembled Frisk a lot, I guess the Community started to refer Chara as someone with ambiguous gender. It’s fine to have different headcanons since their gender isn’t confirmed at all.
Chara has no confirmed gender, and can be whoever people perceive them as. :)
