Wow. This came to me at exactly the right time when I was pondering / asking about it.

There is a stage when you manage to make a disconnect with the mind and its so called reality and stand apart as pure witnesse consciousness..
Praying to Krishna that i meet you one day 🙏

Pranam Swami Ji, I am doing dhyaan sadhna for 14 years. Also Japa Sadhana for about a year. But both of practices without an initiation. Is that correct. If not how can get my self initiated.
Why say something which you yourself have not experienced,
Magnificent
Exceptional as always!

Beautiful explanation of Japa ❤
If Sri Ramkrishna's ishta devata was Maa Kali and even Swami Vivekananda said to Sister Nivedita once that Kali worship is my special habit, Then how come Ramkrishna Mission order has started considering Ramakrishna and Sarada Devi as their ishta devata and created mantras based on them. Also mantra is a sound associated with a form of God and all the mantras that needed to exist already exist in our scriptures. Isn't it a major deviation from Sri Ramakrishna life's work and message? Isn't it a failure of his message that Maa kali can be attained through Bhakti yoga which otherwise wasn't considered possible before his advent? Saints are the doorway to God consciousness. But instead of doing that if we place those Saints above all instead of focusing on the form of God propagated by them then isn't it a failure of the whole system? The story about Swami Niranjanananda mentioned in the book God lived with them also had a mention of a mantra given by Sri Ramkrishna. What was that mantra? Why hasn't that mantra been passed down? It wasn't a mantra of himself for sure, it was a kali mantra most probably
Wonderful wisdom. Thank you swami ji. I love how the explanation are pure and ring true in heart Thank you 🙏🏻
❤
My pronam to you revered Maharaj. 🙏🏻
Super ❤
Did Sri Ramakrishna or Swami Vivekananda smoked... anything? There are some accounts that they did smoke... but was it tabaco, ganja, canabis, etc? As a matter of fact though, I do recall reading some Swami Vivekananda accounts where he says that one day while traveling throug India he ask a man on the road to let him smoke his pipe ("One evening, as Vivekananda was walking along a village street in northern India, he came to a small cottage where an old man was smoking an Indian hookah. Vivekananda had a tremendous desire to smoke, and he asked the old man if he would give him his pipe..."). In "REMINISCENCES OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA by SWAMI SHUDDHANANDA (Translated from Swamiji Katha in Bengali)" you can read the following: "I do not know why, Swamiji asked me. 'Do you smoke?' I replied, 'No', to which Swamiji replied, 'Very well, smoking is not good. I am also trying to leave it off'." Can you please clarify this for both Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda? This is a certified hood classic.
Vedantic mindfulness vs “Buddhist” mindfulness sounds quite a bit like the distinction the Tibetan Buddhists make between “Deliberate” mindfulness (correlated with the original Theravadin type) which focuses on egolessness, impermanence and suffering, seeing that there is no ego, nothing permanent, and no fundamental happiness in the contents of experience - vs “Effortless Mindfulness” which, rather than focusing on content, recognizes teh all-pervading “Mind” (Rigpa) within which all experience occurs, and which is not separate (non dual) from experience.
Sati (Pali), Smriti (Sanskrit). Sati is mindfulness; Smriti is remembering (but more like Platonic remembering, than remembering the “past”)

It is painful to see the Swami standing and delivering a 5 hour lecture series. Arrangements for his seating should have been made especially for such a long retreat sessions.
