Rosh Hashanah | Reflections on Forgiveness & Relationships
Hey everyone 💛 In today’s video, I’m sharing some personal reflections ahead of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Even though I’m not religious anymore, I still find so much value in the tradition of forgiveness during this time of year-both seeking it and offering it. You already know that maintaining relationships is hard for me, so today I'm opening up about my challenges and exploring new ways to communicate better, especially when I feel overwhelmed and want to disappear.
I’d love to hear from you in the comments-is there something you’re reflecting on, or a relationship you want to improve this year?
And if you're celebrating - I wish you a happy new year! 🥂🤍

Really enjoyed this video, Eden Ayash! You've put in impressive effort, and it’s great to see the quality here. I know how much effort goes into making videos like this, and it's inspiring to see your dedication. I work on TH-cam and offer services to help channels like yours grow even faster. If you’re interested in some tailored tips, feel free to replay. Keep up the awesome work!
I was told that if you read Tolkien, you don't need to read any other fantasy.
I've read numerous books but my faviroutes are the very few i still own in my collection. They are the following: Trainspotting Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas A Clockwork Orange The Adventures Of Alice In Wonderland & Through The Looking Glass Frankenstein The Picture of Dorian Gray & A Christmas Carol
Very cool video! You can create more excitement in the video, which will make your videos more interesting to the viewers and you will gain popularity very quickly.
Hey Ayash. Congrats on reaching 1.02K subscribers and over 49K views with just 51 videos-impressive progress! To keep growing, optimizing your video titles, tags, and descriptions can really boost visibility. I’d love to support you with TH-cam SEO and channel management so you can focus on creating content. I noticed your website isn’t responding, which could impact how viewers connect with you outside of TH-cam. Let me know if you'd like a hand with this!
Your videos are not SEO-friendly. you must do video SEO to get good results. SEO increases views, If you can increase the views, you will be able to advance your channel a lot. What is the benefit of making a video so hard? If views, likes, and subscribers are not? So I say, first organize the channel nicely, SEO the videos, and then release the videos, then you will get good results. This will benefit you a lot, you will be able to improve your channel with very little cost
Hi Your content is great, but it seems like your videos aren’t getting the views they deserve. SEO is likely the issue-things like tags and descriptions might not be optimized. I’m happy to provide you with a free SEO audit of your channel. Interested?

You are amazing as you are! I am also an introvert, a different kind though. I can't make new friends at all. I can keep my old ones ve close, but making new ones is almost impossible for me, for sure not in a big crowd. When my friends invite me to something that will include new people, I will say yes and then probably not go (or leave quickly) without saying anything. Let's first forgive ourselves as you said! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! In the books I have read by Carl Jung, having a child in a dream can symbolize a creative accomplishment. So in a way, every video you make is like a "child" in a creative sense!!😂 I can guess what you were expecting from this book- to find someone like-minded who has a different idea of what a woman's life can be. It is definitely hard, once you have a child, to not be reduced to just "Mom" status! I can't wait until you do find another book on this topic that resonates with you!!❤
I love the idea of each video being a "creative child"-it definitely feels like that sometimes! 🤣🤣 You’re absolutely right-what I was hoping to find was someone with a different vision of what a woman’s life could be. Now that you mention it, I can see how the author’s journey toward motherhood and the societal pressure that often reduces women to “Mom” status might have influenced how the book turned out. That’s probably a huge challenge for moms, and it gives me a new perspective on the author’s choices. That said, I’m now even more frustrated with the title and the content of the book! 🤣🙈 Not only does the use of "breeding" seem to reduce something as profound as motherhood to a casual term, but the book also unintentionally adds more societal pressure on women-especially moms. The focus on her traveling and “having fun” before settling down makes it seem like once she became a wife and mom, life (and fun) ended, as if those roles were the final destination. It reduces women who are moms and wives to being “just” that. While I respect that she finds deep meaning in those roles, I don’t love how the book seemed to mock them at first, only to settle into them in the end. It feels like it adds fuel to the fire, making married women feel bad because it suggests their life has ended, and unmarried women feel bad because they might think something is wrong with them since even the author eventually conforms. Maybe a better title would have been How I Ended Up in My Breeding Phase or perhaps a different book with the title What I Was Doing While I Was Breeding, showing that A) being a mom is hard, especially with all the societal pressure, and B) life doesn’t end after becoming a mom, and how to navigate those pressures. Anyway, sorry for the long reply! 🙈 Thank you so much for your comment and for adding your perspective. 🤗 I hope we both find that perfect book someday, and if not, maybe one of us will write it! 😅🙃 Thank you again for sharing your thoughts! ❤
@@eden_ayash Long replies are OK !!!😊 Yes, societal pressures are so crazy!!😂 Love hearing your thoughts!! ❤️❤️❤️
I know a few women who've decided that being a mother isn't for them, and they seem happy and fulfilled. Gender roles/stereotypes are being questioned more these days, and I think that's a good thing.
You’re so right-I’m seeing that more and more too, and I’m really glad about it! Back then, people looked at me like I was from another planet 🤣 Of course, there’s nothing wrong with becoming a mom-on the contrary-but like you said, it’s important to question it so women can decide if it’s really what they want. That’s what bugged me about this book. It unintentionally kinda added more pressure on women to follow the same path, after first mocking them for doing exactly that 🙈 Thank you very much for your comment, Brent, and I’m happy your friends have someone as open-minded as you! 😊
@@eden_ayash Thanks for the compliment. 😁
Books have different affects w/the age at which I was when I read it. Some I’ve read over and over, some at different ages. At age 70 I began Brontë sisters writings, Tolstoy, Dickens - nothing under 500 pages. Gone With the Wind at age 17 was so different than at age 70. Every year since a young woman Little Women. At my age now Marme is the star of the story. Every one has their own favorites to recommend. I’d like to hear your opinion at age 70 - keep reading a little more, opinions change. At 17 Brontë I put away, at 70 I enjoyed. George Elliot is fantastic reading.
Visiting that cemetery, is pretty much like visiting a museum... An unique experience!
Your comment is spot on! It really does feel like a museum with all the history and incredible monuments. There's so much to explore, it’s definitely a unique experience! Have you visited before?
@@eden_ayash That one? Never! But from time to time I happen to visit historical cemeteries, in where I enjoy to go with my sketchbooks! Anyways, the historical cemeteries from France and UK are places that I dream visiting... To be able to see the Conan Doyle mausoleum, and maybe also the one from Allan Kardec... (Not just those, of course). 😉
Maybe not just as a content creator, but also as a writer, sometimes I find myself pondering about what I'm really doing with my life... I mean, I'm far from having a perfect life, but sometimes I ask myself if I should keep on that road. And the answer is always the same: Why not?!
Père Lachaise Cemetery... resting place of the Lizard King, Jim Morrison, too... Good choice of song.
Thanks so much, Brent! You're right-Jim Morrison is buried there too. It’s a shame I didn’t have enough time to visit his resting place as well. Yet another reason to go back! 😅😆 Happy you liked the song, it's one of my favorites 🙃😊

Hi Ross! Thank you for this question. @@eden_ayash This was VERY HELPFUL. Thank you. I have learned how to insert pages in a book and I write down the main heading and subheadings of a chapter and insert in at that chapter, so that when I review, I have a quick overview of the contents.
Hi Eden, You made a great video here that I would think most people can relate to, either now or in the past. I too struggle with the inner critic and have even had people who don't know me well tell me how hard I am on myself. I don't like all the things you mentioned about myself either. I really hate hearing myself talk , or I used to. Then a friend from Australia told me that I sounded like some fancy southern lady who might be sitting on a porch drinking iced tea. That made me laugh, but it also made me realize how much I project my own feelings about myself onto other people. You are a beautiful person, with a great voice. I adore your accent and I think you're an interesting person. It takes a lot of courage to post videos on TH-cam or anywhere, because we all know that people can be so cruel to other people online. I hope you never let someone else bring your down. You have lots to offer the world.
Tracy, your comment truly touched my heart! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your own experiences🤍 I love the story about your Australian friend - it made me smile and really highlighted how we often see ourselves so differently from how others perceive us. Your kind words about my voice and accent mean so much to me, since I've always been self-conscious about them. You're right about the courage it takes to put yourself out there, and comments like yours make it all worthwhile🫶🏻🫶🏻 Thank you for your constant encouragement, I’m so very grateful for you! 🤗🌻
Well said. I’m fairly sure that everyone who does anything creative is plagued with self doubt. It’s infuriating to work on something and then in the cold light of day review it back and think ‘well that’s crap, no one can ever see that’ Just know that we, your audience watch you because the things you say are compelling and worth watching. So keep it up. Oh and your English is significantly better than many native speakers. Myself included. 😂
Thank you so much, Mark! I love how you phrased it-creators are plagued with self-doubt, and I agree that it’s probably an integral part of the creative process. As you mentioned in your previous post (by the way, congratulations again-that’s so exciting!), I too sometimes find it hard to believe that there are amazing people out there who find what I say somewhat interesting. While that feeling hasn’t changed for me yet, your reassurance means a lot and motivates me. Your compliment about my English made me laugh and brought me so much happiness-I’m really grateful for that! I appreciate you taking the time to leave such a kind comment 🤍🌻🫶🏻
Great video, thank you. I admire your openness and honesty. Shalom.
Brent, thank you so much for your kind words! Being open and honest isn’t always easy, and sometimes I need this reminder that it’s what I voluntarily signed up for 😅🙈, and so it means a lot to me that you value this. Shalom to you too 🌻😊, and thank you for being here and for taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment!

Having had depression for many decades, I know one thing for certain. participating in "negative self talk" imbues harmful thoughts with more destructive power. When you feel self-criticism mounting within you -- as happens in this video -- consider calling time out and replacing it with positive affirmations. For example, tell yourself that you're pretty, that your English is fine, that your insights are deep and interesting, that your hand positions are graceful, etc. All of those are true statements based on what I've seen in this and prior videos. The more you can affirm how wonderful you are, the less frequently your negative critic will hold sway and the happier and more productive you'll be. Hard to do, but the payoff can be immense.
Harry, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your wisdom and experience. You’re absolutely right-negative self-talk can be so damaging, and it’s something I’m trying to be more mindful of. Your suggestion to replace it with positive affirmations is something I’ll definitely take to heart. It’s encouraging to hear that you’ve noticed positive qualities in the content I share; your kindness shines through your words, and I appreciate it a lot. I’ll definitely try to implement your suggestion-it sounds like a powerful tool for combating those critical thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to offer such thoughtful and helpful advice, your words truly resonated with me 🤍🌻🫶🏻
Dear Eden! I struggled with the "inner critic" for many years. What I have discovered, is that your environment is extremely important. Any conversation with family, friends, acquaintances, has a huge impact. Even silence can have an impact- for example, if you tell a friend you started a new channel and they don't congratulate you, sometimes you internalize that external contempt and it becomes inner criticism. Look in the mirror, you have your answer: yes, you are beautiful, you are interesting, all of it!!❤
Dawn, thank you for your heartfelt comment! 🤗 Your insights about the impact of our environment and the people around us are so spot-on. I hadn’t really considered it before, but you’re absolutely right-our surroundings and the reactions of those around us can really influence our inner dialogue, and I relate a lot to what you’re saying, especially how sometimes even silence can speak volumes. Your reminder to look in the mirror and affirm our own worth is beautiful advice. I’m truly touched by your kind words and your encouragement and feel privileged that you shared your experience with me. Thanks a MILLION, it means a lot to me! 🫶🏻🌻🫶🏻
The book was better. The Little Prince was sent to me by my grandmother and I still have it. I was born in 1946. I still give it a read often. Frankenstein never goes out of style. With all the new things happening today, it is still relevant. Peter and Wendy was first a play and later made a novel. It was not for children, it was for adults. Glad I finally read it. I would pick Wuthering Heights over Jane Eyre. The only movie adaption that comes close was done on British TV with Ian McShane in B&W because it was done in order. There are Jane Eyre's that are pretty much the book. I read The Hobbit, et al, during it's late 60's heyday. I even gave them as a gift to The Who in 1967 and Roger Daltrey really liked the series. Still rides my top 10! What makes a classic? Well, I had to read The Scarlet Letter in high school and hated it. At 78, I just read it again in a study guide edition. Still hate it. However, when it was first released, all the top writers and critics declared it A CLASSIC! And so it has remained. Besides the ones I mentioned above (except TSL), for me, I name To Kill a Mockingbird first. Then Lord of the Flies. Only good book I was forced to read in school was Moby Dick. Then The Secret Garden and Black Beauty. Book only: a modern classic is The Stand followed by The Shining. And I will throw in Gone with the Wind for good measure. Thank you, this was interesting. And "classics" will be argued forever because every human is different and we wouldn't want it any other way.
we love you 💙🤍
Love you backkk 🤍✌🏻💙
