@heysoc Well said my friend. As an old person, you have to know when to bow out of things gracefully and admit you can't do what you did 50 years ago. It's an insult to all of us old coots, to see him wheeled out every year after they yank him out of the mothballs. Time to move on Dick!

I respect Dick Clark totally, but I really think he needs to pass the torch... All good things come to an end. He was always great doing this through the years, but it looks like it's time for a new host. I just wish Ryan Seacrest wasn't in the picture! What a tool he is!

If you had any conception of how many people,both in front of the camera, and behind, owe their careers, their homes and their families to Dick Clark you would just plain shut up.

Every one's mean to Dick, he's such a great guy... I feel so bad for him, he didn't always used be like this, for all you kids, he had a stroke, he was pretty neat and perfectly normal 7 years ago, I 100% respect him, I'll cry so hard when he dies.

actually all it is if he was counting too fast then looked at the monitor and got thrown off while re adjusting his speed --- aka no big deal move on

@risasblackparade why did they make him do it live? THEY knew he was 80 and had a stroke, yet they didnt think to prerecord it? or maybe let him start from 10 instead of 20? they were asking for it. he's a wicked guy, but they could have easily avoided this

Why does everyone always have to stress Dick's screw-ups since his stroke? The fact that he continues to do his New Year's Rockin Eve Broadcasts even after that is a reason to be proud of him, not to laugh at him!
