Demo of some of the mods on my Casio MT-100 available for sale on my reverb: reverb.com/item/84177412-casio-casiotone-mt-100-with-mods Bit crusher for the melody section, individual mutes for the Bass and Chord in the accompaniment section, and and external input for the graphic EQ. This one also has drum trigger inputs and outputs like on my MT-45, but for 7 sounds instead of 5.

Casio RZ-1 With Mods

My modded Casio RZ-1. Sample tone knobs moved to front panel, variable clocks added to the percussion generator ICs, and upgraded ROM chips and firmware. All stock sounds from upgraded ROM at end on video.

There it is! Awesome! Looks like it works great! I'm guessing that if you wanted to solo out the arp out or the bass line you could just lower the rhythm volume with the knob? These mods seem super functional for jamming, but have you thought about adding some weirdness to it as well? Like an LTC1799 to adjust the clock/pitch? or any other glitch bends?
From about half way through - everything is out of phase.

Cool stuff. This was the first proper keyboard I bought for myself, back in March 1986. There is a good VSTi of it now too.

I wish someone would mod the Program Up trigger input to be a Sequencer Clock input. So you could step it with triggers or drum machines.

That's fantastic! Is the MT-45 especially prone to such kind of modification or could other Casios get modded likewise (individual drum triggers - basically making it a drum machine....)? Also: cool trigger sequencer box!
@@performancewave6581 thanks! Most MT series casiotones can have these mods installed. The trigger sequencer is based on the LMNC Big Button

😂🤣😂🤣 The Poly 800 is an unsung hero as it stands and can produce very impressive sounds. With this mod or the upcoming HAWK832 it just adds to that. Hell a Casio CZ-101 is another impressive synth that was forgotten about. A Yamaha CS-01 would be nice but price wise is nuts so go with the Reface CS instead for $300 and you have yet another incredible synth. Sooo many low cost older/vintage synths that people just forgot about.
Love the sounds and the COLOUR! i hope it stays working. Techno magic
