New comedy stuff that's out here will be around 70 years from now.

Only one season in 1956 and 68 years later i'm still laughing my butt off! An absolute classic fabulous show

I was watching one of those old detective movies, and there was an actress in it who I'd never seen before, but those eyes, I thought, I recognise those eyes; and then it came to me in a flash, that's Audrey Meadows sister, I'm sure of it, so I did a google search, and turned out I was right--I recognised her based on nothing but her eyes, that's how unique they are!

Audrey Meadows had such a great delivery of her lines. Great timing and talent. She really made this show great because she could stand toe to toe with Jackie Gleason.

Such great humor. Today the show would be super watered down thanks to the current climate. But no matter what this show has always been funny and always will be funny.

It was "Married with Children" decades before. His act made him the perfect target for her and she was brilliant at giving it back.

Audrey “Six”, apart from being an actress she was a banker. February 8 1922 ~ February 3 1996. Great talented actress. R.I.P. 🙏🌹 Edit: Jackie Gleason used his actual address where he was born, but the street number was slightly off, in the Honeymooners where they resided.

I remember that one of Alice’s comebacks was so funny that all he could say was “I wish I could I could think of something to say to her.” I can’t remember her line though.

The writers were GREAT. And the way Gleason delivered the lines. He set himself up. And Audrey ran w the responses 🌹💕🌎🌍

Audrey was so perfect. I can recall maybe once she lightly stumbled on a word.

It's such a joy watching the " Honeymooners " !

How anyone in the world couldn’t love Audrey Meadows is beyond me.

Alice Kramden in my head is the Grandmother to Peg Bundy lol. She was quick with a deadly insult and was proud of it too lol.

Ralph Kramden is one of the most influential and iconic characters of all time.

I always thought Audrey Meadows played the part supremely well. It was such a contrast for "Alice" to play opposite the bombastic "Ralph". By the way, that last clip where he has the striped jacket and straw hat is from the "Young at Heart" episode where Gleason does some great physical comedy on roller skates.

Her sister Jane says that from a little girl on she was totally deadpan, nasal and used that monotone voice. What a fabulous contrast to the antics of Gleason with his wild movements, explosive voice and wonderfully expressive face. This contrast is the essence of their comedy.

Audrey, rest in peace. You played Alice absolutely perfectly and you made this show. A class act and simply gorgeous.

...and a tribute to Jackie Gleeson, who shared the stage with his three co-stars, he never wanted to outshine them and together they created the most loved family in comedy, show life as it really was...the ups and downs, the true nature of love, the struggle for the ordinary battler. You have to fight for real love, it does not come easy as time will always test its strength, Its no Fairytale, but nothing else can compare. They may have had very little but they had eachother. In TV today there is Nothing like it anymore.

Today are much better times! Ralph had diabetes. But it wasn't discovered yet, therefore the jokes kept coming.

That sure should have been upgraded and remodeld in real life.
