hi hantek 2d82 auto or owon hds2202s is good
Not used the hantek they are similar though aren't they, the screen on the hantek looks smaller to me.
@TeessideTech any one the best
@@eliashajjem7643 I would get the Owon better resolution and bigger screen
I just discovered your videos Teesside! And disg tech and machinist rolled all in one! Aussie resourcefulness at its finest!😄 Great Vids!
Thanks! 👍
Thanks for such a full coverage of proper alternator diagnostics! Could you also make a video of the cam/crank correlation? I've seen Owon HDS272 supports some kind of offline viewing of saved waveforms on PC. Demonstration will be appreciated.
@@ikusha84 ok I'll try and do that, thanks for the suggestion
Thank you for this video it was very helpful in reducing the learning curve for me
Very nice video. thank you very mutch for the review and guide.
Nice, thank you. How do they avoid the possibility of a spark from the contact in the variable resistor? I would think it is unlikely you'd get one at 12v, but unlikely isn't impossible, and for this application that difference matters. :-)
This is an older design so the replacement had a printed circuit board design but the wires were insulated as they had a coating on them. The variable resistor is connected in parallel with the gauge and only measured about 3v. The low level connection had battery voltage but has a low current draw and will be fused. As for short circuit this was in a diesel tank and fuel is non conductive and for petrol vapour to ignite it has to be in a certain air fuel mixture range.
So if you don't get a change in voltage when you rev it, basically the DPF sensor is faulty or broken right? 🤷
Yes that's right the pressure is converted into a voltage by the sensor which changes when the pressure changes
@@TeessideTech oh right I thought so, thank you so much for confirming that ☺️
Finally somebody showing how to do this properly. There are too many, very popular videos by professionals, confidently describing how to do this wrong.
@@spelunkerd thank you! Let me know if there are any other topics you think I should cover
So what happens to the animal piss. its over 1year old
@@liamdtraxxas2011 water will evaporate as it does in the exhaust, crystallises blocking pump or injector, quality sensor will detect it's not right and throw a fault- having the wrong mixture will also mean less ammonia produced to react with Nox so higher Nox emissions detected by Nox sensor again another fault!
My former employer stored theirs outside in an IBC cube which is opaque plastic. And wondered why they slways had problems with engines. 🙄
@@matt-2-3 yes I've seen that as well, some petrol stations store it outside. Hgvs might get through a whole tank but people just going to work won't. I just put 5lt at a time in mine
I can’t understand what you mean
@@mrwise7067 watch the full video it is longer
I'm trying to tune my system but Mines doesn't show the waves like this what do i do?
This is AC mains, are you using the attenuator on X10? Otherwise it will be too big to fit on the screen. Then adjust the oscilloscope to X10. Black to neutral main probe to live.
@TeessideTech I set it to 10 also. It detects 1khz test tone and 40 hz but the wave is really off .
What's the 40hz from? Have you tried adjusting the attenuator probe there's a little screw on the side you can make the square wave more square on the test signal that's what the test signal is for, I will try and do a video on it - you should have got a little screw driver included
@TeessideTech no not yet . Ima try that . But I think that you have to use a 1khz test tone . The 40hz is for a bass amp
