Very nice and informative video. I have been into plants a very long time but I just purchased my first snake plant a few weeks ago. Two things - one has been said here before and you probably know this now from experience, but I will repeat - if you take a leaf cutting, the babies will not be clones of the parent plant. They will revert back to the original snake plant form of green with the lighter green 'stripes'. No variation, no yellow edges, etc.). The other is about the sun - they can indeed grown in full sun. You just have to acclimate your plant over a couple of weeks - starting it in a bright, shady spot and, every so often (maybe every three to five days), s l o w l y move it to brighter and brighter spots so the plant can adjust. They will definitely do very well in the brighter light, growing faster and larger. Oh yes - and those little babies that pop up in the pot next to the mother plant - those are called pups :)

I have the tricolor hoya too and I bombard mine with sunlight otherwise the pink fades and it takes forever to grow in lower light because of the lack of chlorophyll. Mine sits right up against a west window. All of my variegated hoya i give extra light to them.

Did you whater your snake plant too much or too often ? They don t like wet soil, the surface of the soil should be the most time dry. And they need a bright place, best at the window, not under 15 degrees Celsius.😊❤

Just a guess, but is there any chance that the snake plant pot got too cold? Maybe the leaves or roots on the outer edge of the pot were cold damaged?

What is your soil mix! I use orchid bark/charcoal/perlite/soil….maybe you soil doesn’t have enough chunks for irrigation? I also love to bottom water. But your plants all look great!!! Your Thai constalation is beautiful ❤❤❤❤

My snake plant just keeps trucking even though 60% of the leaves are tore up from the kiddos. Now I realize why grandpa was so cranky when we tore the branches off his trees (caring for plants/trees takes patience and time). Love and miss you Cole
