@@phillipgrandison2384 make sure nothing is disconnected, close the doors, alarm the car with your key fob, wait five minutes, and disarm, sit in the car and do the procedure again. If it doesn’t work, then there’s definitely a problem with your system. You can also disassemble the caliper actuators by removing the two bolts and do it manually.

@bethelmobile114 just completed rear brakes. Never achieved "maintenance mode." I did disable the auto brake apply function when the vehicle is placed in parked, though. Removed the calipers and placed some needle nose plier on the indention for pistoons, turned clockwise while pushing. Piston recessed about 1/4 inch (that's all I needed since my old pads were about 70 percent good, but the rotors were warped).. One thing that helps the piston recess is 1. A quick spray of WD40 around the piston boot area, and 2. Remove brake fluid reservoir cap. The rest is just cleaning, lubrication, and reinstalling everything. No error codes or anything weird.

@@tm5346 I’m glad you liked the video. This car is a four-cylinder, so it only has one bank. You could have lean or rich condition depending on the injector if it’s leaking, then you would have P0173, but if it’s lean you would have P0 171

⁠@@bethelmobile114ugg I don't know what my code means I clear it oil changed & pcv it's was that it ugg I think removing it I put the original back on so I'll have just in case ox sensor put new Bosch on bc I guess they will become a issue sucks bc I know something not right I bought catalyst cleaner people talk about it like crazy like it's amazing🤞it's definitely could been bc the code sensor & cat ! @ what code are you getting? The CatClean formula is mainly to clean your combustion chamber, cylinder valves, and also your catalytic converter.

You always have to pump the brakes after any brake service. I also would recommend to do a brake fluid exchange and bleed the system every three years, or 36,000 miles, that would take all the air pockets out of the brake lines. I might do a video on that as well sometime in the near future . To answer your question, I always pump the brakes at least 3 to 4 times before I put it in drive after any brake service

@@gpansenegal8484 yes you can read the level anytime you want. Think of it as a dipstick as in the old days where you supposed to check your oil at least once every two weeks or so.

@@paulavieira577 I it has to be in on position, once all the warning light come and off and then you cycle through the ok potion until you get to service menu then and you chose the oil level.

Haha funny. No, the front calliper pistons can be compressed in with any prybar or flat screwdriver.

Pretty common on new cars these days. The parking brake motors are built into the calipers. Better solution than a separate parking brake.

Quick question after you put it in service mode to change the pads then when you take it out of service mode, do you have to pump the brakes?

You need to compress the pistons in to remove the pads and install new once. And because this vehicle is equipped with rear caliper actuators. That’s what It means to put the rear Breaks in the service mode. Normally you would have to use Land Rover scanner, but the purpose of this video is the bypass the scanner and to do it manually.

Oh sorry I meant to say Jaguar scanner. You can also use Land Rover scanner as well

@@carlosdgonzalez2858 a good way to know for sure is to clean it or to use air spray gun to blow away the residue, while the engine is running. If you see the leak is coming from the cooler, then just replace the cooler which comes with seals as well. Also that means your transmission fluid is also low, might as well just change the transmission filter, gusty, and Louis as I showed you in the next video. If you have any more questions let me know

@@boooshannon unfortunately no. What we used in the dealership was a divine called Dongle, which hooks up to the OBD II connector or we used a Jaguar scanner to reset it.

@@boooshannon no there is no way to do it. What we used in the dealership was a scanner, and also a little Device called dongle. I think if you stop by at any dealership they will clear it for you for free.

No unfortunately there isn’t any that I know of, The counter will give you a multiple warnings before the engine shuts off. I would highly recommend that you would add DEF fluid before you get the final warning.
