Good afternoon dear Aunty & Tanmay - At the outset special thanks to Aunty 🙏🙏❤️❤️ Earlier this week we had made Bread Rolls as per Aunty’s recipe and it was super delicious ( had sent you the pic ) . After it was hot had it on an as is basis with some Chilli- tomato ketchup. Yummy 🤤. Later I made a Frankie using the bread rolls 2-2.5 BR per Frankie with some seasoning , cut onions & green chutney. It was also quite delicious 😋. Thought of making a variant of Vada Pav using the BR but left it as I thought it might not be good to taste . Anyways let’s dive into this vlog . Moong Dal Pakode is one of our favourite go to dish during Monsoon. Seldom we have cooked at home and majorly used to buy it from one of the popular eateries in Mumbai. So this is going to be an exciting vlog . Great tip from Aunty on the soaking time using regular room temperature water & hot water . Secondly the texture of the paste after mashing the soaked MD is important . Now addition of the ingredients and masala into the batter and a great tip on when to add salt and the rationale behind the same 👍👍 While the oil is getting hot, time to make the chutney . Yet another wonderful tip to add roasted Channa powder and addition of two types of salts to accentuate the flavour. The final output of the chutney looks amazing 👌👌. Time to make the Pakode and Aunty is such an expert in incorporate the Pakode balls into the oil . Oh cool we need to double fry it ; first time it’s cooked 50 % and rest for a few minutes and then fry them again to ensure super crispness and the perfect texture. Chaat Masala on top of the hot MDP is mouth watering 😋😋 Wow wow what a presentation of the MDP along with fried green chillis and chutney . Tasting time and Tanmay relishing it 😀 Wish I could pick a few pieces from his plate and simply savour them as the weather in Mumbai , currently , is perfect for some hot MDP , Chutney & Masala Chai 💯💯💯 By the way today we made Veg Biryani with Paneer ( Thanks for the recommendation and took a cue from KS’s recipe and slightly modified it to suit our palate ) A big shout out to Aunty for sharing and presenting us with such wonderful and delicious recipes.
