lol effects of good camera angles and editing speedramp tricks, they were actually set down a distance of maybe 4 inches max pretty gently onto a triple layered padded surface with pillows and a green sheet over them; they have survived much worse from normal everyday use

if you watch 1:31 you'll see i never actually drop them the wide shots we filmed, i just pretend to and spliced it with the close up

@@sluxi thank you! I'm glad someone noticed the cv1 sensor as the mic! There's so many good 80s playlist in Beat Saber and Synth Riders - and then yesterday Walkabout Mini Golf just dropped the new 8-bit lair 80s themed course! It's a lot of fun!

@@Arkanovik awesome! Quest 3 lenses are incredible. how is the game beyond the demo? does it get more complicated as you progress?

@@icy_twist It depends on the piece and difficulty setting, there are some quite difficult pieces hahaha. One cool thing is that you unlock new gloves, stages and clothes for the members of the orchestra as you gain points.

Normal difficulty is challenging, similar to the demo. I've spent the last week (between Batman and other stuff) getting 5 Stars on all the songs on Normal. Hard looks like it will take some practice and give the game good legs.

Like using beat saber mope mope during goodness/badness; and tossing in audica rasputin and camellia ghost maps during parts where i lose control etc! It was really fun to put together. And yes i did squirrels makeup, if you watch the original music video from the 80s he does a good job as the eyebrow guy. 🐿

I was inspired by expanding my scope of VR games by watching other streamers and content creators like @xoanonvr - I'm still getting my bearings with locomotion. Does Skyrim allow teleportation movement? Thanks for sharing as I know its an incredible game so look forward to learning more.

@@icy_twist Yes it does actually have a teleport function, but if you install a modpack you will have to select it in the settings, bc default is joystick. VR definitely is the future of gaming, and I’m happy to see more and more people/youtubers delve into that world. Goodluck with everything, and if you ever are looking to collab with any creators give me a shout 📣 I’ve been wanting to make multiplayer content for a while!

@Xoanon A bit like Spin, yes, in the various rhythmic elements. So the conductor baton I'm using is just a Harry Potter wand from Universal. I read you could use a chopstick even, anything for realism! Without having "something" in your hand to replace the controller it may feel like you're missing a key component. Although, without that haptic feedback, my brain isn't quite connecting so it does rely on visual and auditory feedback to know if you're on timing or not. So it feels a tad more realistic in that sense, as a conductor would rely solely on their ears in a real orchestra. I did feel like a real conductor, as you can likely tell through my exaggerated movement - I was really getting lost in the performance. It's a thorough demo worth checking out if you have the required hardware!

@@spidermonkeynr1 Yes, Spider, you are a bit more on the money here. It's definitely more like Audica than Spin in the sense of aim and positioning, although certainly more forgiving in both aspects. Also in the sense that the stage allows you to "work the room." The various rhythmic elements (tempo, accents, cues, fermata, dynamics) can become quite complex at times; so it also reminded me a bit of the original Beat Saber OST; songs in the Rocket League x Monstercat pack etc. where you have to kind of separate your left/right brain and perform unique motions with each hand. So, maybe a bit technical even in the beginner stages? Thanks again for sending me the tutorial on in-game chat for headset only gameplay, I saw you were playing this too so definitely understand what I mean!

thank you that's super kind of you! i did finish all 3 custom campaigns and have moved up to advanced, some maps are easier than others, but i'm enjoying the game so much more after about 40 hours of practice! :D

@@Glorious_Yell0w yeah i was watching streamers play it without a clue what was actually happening mechanics wise but after playing I think fps players who like call of duty, valorant, fortnite, pubg or overwatch would enjoy this style of game for practice target speed shooting, almost like a VR style aimlabs. But yeah i can see how it might not look appealing when youre not inside the VR world playing yourself. What kinda games do you like to play?

A lot of games may look boring, but most of it are not, otherwise we would not play them, right? :) Just try it out if you have the chance. Spin Rhythm is another game I even myself thought "wow, a VR version of that? Must be boring..." Now I am addicted, I admit it turned out more fun that I have thought it will be :D AUDICA needs a lot of practice though, just beware, it has one of the hardest learning curves in VR rhythm games.

I don't play Audica yet, but I do play some VR games! Mostly Beat Saber and VTOL VR right now

@@JordanDRobertson fun! VTOL VR looks neat, i havent played it before but have tried microsoft flight sim; do you find it pretty comfortable or is there a good chance of motion sickness? I saw its 10/10 on steam! Whoa!

@@icy_twist I find it very comfortable! I think it's much more "arcade-y" than MS Flight Sim, but it's still pretty fun pushing all the switches and flying lol. I'll only get a bit motion sick when I attempt to do too many barrel rolls in a row 🤣
