Without the countdown timer or at least giving the player an option to turn it off I think this game would have been a lot more popular. I hated the timer. That was why I shelved this game.

I rarely sit here laughing out loud when watching stuff but I was in tears throughout the rest of teh video once you started the battle royal. Btw in Case you're not aware already: The developer will release a move pack later this month and more later this year. So, there's something to look forward to.

Thanks for the review! I just recorded an hour of gameplay of AHWMF for my channel. I love these small indie titles, going for just off the cuff experiences. Unfortunately I felt to me like i kind of stumbled into the ending. I did not really feel like i had to use any critical thinking and ultimately, the whole twine part fell flat for me. Afterwards I though I could've done just fine without the twine. I dunno, maybe I'm very adept at these kind of things or it was too easy. But I love games that encourage me to take notes. The atmosphere was top notch though. Felt that paranoia throughout. I would've loved for it to be longer (funnily enough after playing for an hour i was at most 5 minutes away from the ending) and the reveals felt a bit weak to me, but I might just be oversaturated from other games with this stuff. Also, more challenge, more actual needed twineing! My favorite First-experience-is-king-games are Return of the Obra Dinn and Outer Wilds. Maybe check them out if you haven't yet :)

I've been playing an outdated version of this game for a while now, beating the hard campaign two or three times, and only recently got it on Steam for another run. What I didn't expect is that, in the Steam version, the enemy is constantly attacking you in every mission rather than waiting for you to come. In the old versions, there were a few initial attacks with some units going for hit&run tactics, and that was that. Once you dealt with these units, you could just prepare a massive force and roll over every base, they didn't even rebuild their forces. I made it up to the end of Beta campaign where you have to survive until Nexus launches a nuke. I spent the whole Beta campaign not caring about my defenses so it was impossible for me to hold the Collective's forces for long enough, and because of how the campaign works in this game I couldn't do much without starting the whole thing over. I think next time I play this game I'm gonna play on normal difficulty before trying on hard, it was still a lot of fun, and maybe my top 2 RTS of all time (the first being Supreme Commander 1)

So I stumbled across this video looking for a quite similar game, I remember it having a similar name but with 600 or 6000 in the title. Basically me as a kid looking for free to play games found this game where you indeed pretty much did the same thing you do here, there even were 4 factions differentiated by colors. I particularly remember how you had to set up refineries with little trucks that would go get coal and bring it back. If you advanced quite enough you could build planes and nukes. I can’t remember for the life of me what this game was originally called, thinking of it looks like a free to play parody/imitation of this one, if anyone knows then please do tell.

Best game ever

Warzone was so ahead of its time. The ability to free build anywhere with trucks especially. Which more or less was not seen again until generals came out, years later. I first completed warzone when I was about 10 or 12. A true master piece, I later went on to play generals a few years later when that came out. Loved the free build in both titles. I really dislike proximity build mechanics in rts games.

I recenty got hooked on this game for ps1, I play it on Miyoo mini plus. With cheats its really fun. Cant believe i missed out on this game in 99.

NEW PWC VIDEO?

Undercutting the difficulty of this game alot is something i noticed. Spawning units to win every mission is kinda cheap to review it. The game isnt for the faint of heart. It will whoop your ass. Gamma 3 will make you rethink your strategy to the point of mindbreak.

Remember playing this on ps1 when my older brother bought it. Been hooked ever since to rts games. Love that i can still play this now and getting updated still

No... they were in the bunker for 15 years... not 100 years... it's in the freaking intro cutscene... world ending event happened in 2085 in the same cutscene... if you got that wrong,.. I'm pretty sure the rest of the video is wrong.

lancers and bunker busters mixed in with HMGs and cannons have been my go to mix as of late in this game :D

What I think the worst part, is that the ending of POTO was a happy-sad ending was totally ruined with this, with a sad but necessary message, "love is also to know to let go", Phantom realizes that Christine doesn't love him, at least not in the way she loves Raoul and lets her go to be happy with him, after Christine shows him affect. After all, his love hurt Christine all the time, he kidnapped, stalked, killed, and manipulated, the sad of the ending is that he realized it too late, he couldn't be "rewarded" with her love, finally she can be free and continue her life, plus he needed to to "pay" all of his crimes, and does it alone

The answer to the visual "GLITCH" pressing f12 activates the radius descriptor....showing sensor tower range and weapon range....activate it and trucks shows construction distance....it shows usefully if your defenses like bombards....of the choke point your sensor tower is supposed to cover.... actually covers it so on and so forth. Blue is utility distance and orange is weapon range 😊
