@Steve Sundar, I bought a similar machine a few days ago. You can use side A only. There is an "on/off" button for each side.

If you're using side A do u have to have side B active... y in the video both arrays were used?

The salt changes color from the electrode thing in the water. It basically rusts the salt, changing color in the water. Plus water and electricity don't mix.
