Dispensing Solder Paste on Factory Fabricated PCBs with V-One
Working with factory fabricated PCBs requires accurate and repeatable placement of a controlled amount of solder, precisely where it's needed. V-One's solder paste dispensing workflow removes the human element of hand soldering and allows the user to align the board's features, dispense solder paste, and reflow the components, with step by step software guiding the entire process.

Great video and amazing hair bro 😊
What is solder paste and how do you use it?
In addition to the info in the video, here's a blog with more on solder paste: www.voltera.io/blog/what-is-solder-paste
I want to buy this pcb printing machine how much does it cost to ship to India and I want to oder in bulk quantity
Can you email us at sales@voltera.io? We can connect you with our distributor in India.
Wow
Your hair is gorgeous!!!
What cartridge are you using to print this?
This is a 5cc Nordson EFD cartridge filled with silver conductive ink. We sell the ink and the empty cartridges on our online store: - Clear: store.voltera.io/products/replacement-cartridge-pack?_pos=11&_sid=4136c8099&_ss=r - UV blocking: store.voltera.io/products/empty-uv-blocking-cartridge-pack?_pos=12&_sid=4136c8099&_ss=r - Silver ink: store.voltera.io/products/conductor-3-ink-cartridge-2ml?_pos=1&_sid=4136c8099&_ss=r
Hi, May I know what type of substrate that used in the video? Did you treat the substrate before start printing?
Hi Zuulaika, thanks for your question. We used PET in the video and it was not treated. You can find the PET we used here: store.voltera.io/products/pet-5-sheets
Hi, could you make a video showing how the Nova can be used to dispense solder paste on a high density PCB? Would it be reliable for dispensing on SMT pads with pitches down to 0.35 mm? I am interested in using the Nova to replace our solder paste stenciling process and circumvent the need for purchasing a solder paste stencil for every new PCB that I order.

Interesting! NOVA can definitely be used to dispense solder paste, but may not suit your exact application well. Would you be able to reach out to us at sales [at] voltera.io?

AMAZING!
You are just a little too delicious. Had to watch 3 times so I could focus on material ❤
May I ask what you dropped on the hot-pressed protective layer of TPU, and what is its function? How do you make the TPU drawing layer adhere to the sticker? Why isn't the heat lamination layer bonded to the sticker?
We're not too sure. This research was conducted by Yoland El-Hajj at York University in Toronto. She did detail some of her process in her research papers: www.researchgate.net/publication/361717600_Inkjet_and_Extrusion_Printed_Silver_Biomedical_Tattoo_Electrodes and yorkspace.library.yorku.ca/server/api/core/bitstreams/77423903-d210-46d3-9387-bdec086bd6cb/content
Impressive I am very interested to involve you about my research about the efficiency of your V-one
We'd be happy to learn more about what you're working on. Please reach out to us at hello@voltera.io.
Merhabalar, Bu cnc tezgahını neden almalıyım, Cok pahalı bir cihaz, Cihazın pahalı olması ve kartuş sorunu var, surekli para harcamam gerekiyor, Bu cihaza yapacağım masrafa değmez, Bu tip cihazları almak icin cazip olmasi gerekiyor, Üretici icin en onemli etken, Maliyettir, Nekadar ucuza üretim yaparsan okadar kazanırsın, Bu cihaz para kazandirmaz daha cok zarar ettirir, Bu cihazin yerine pcb yapan firmayla anlasma yapmak veya bastirmak cok cok daha ucuz , hem zaman hem maliyet acisindan kazandirir, Sizler bu cihazi uretirken ne dusundunuz, merak ediyorum.
This is not a CNC machine. It is an extrusion-based direct-ink-write system. It is for companies that are rapidly iterating and prototyping numerous PCB designs each day. If you are only making one PCB and can wait to receive it in the mail, then V-one might not be the best option for you.
Do that stickers work on the Diabetes?
This particular project wasn't for glucose monitoring, but there are many different biomedical applications for technology like this.
We should do a project together maybe tie it into a light transmissive vinyl technology could be cool
Sounds interesting! Please send an email to applications@voltera.io!
New generation textile is this. Next time how can i implant skin under.
Some of our users are developing implantable devices! It's cutting-edge research!
My solder paste looks like Vaseline
Thank you for the webinar!
Thank you for watching!
whats the program name for reading inputs?
The graphing program used is MegunoLink.
The conductive paint must have limitations. Can the machine make a soldered trace?
The V-One can print conductive pastes in the screen printable (higher viscosity) range. It can also print solder paste.
'Promo SM'
Brilliant work!!
this takes me back almost 20 years to when them paper transistors were beeing developed in FCT NOVA and i got to visit the lab with elvira.
This is so cool!!! can I do NFC?
Yes! Copprint LF-301 is designed for use in all sorts of antennas, including NFC.
@@voltera_io You have no idea how exciting this is for me! I was really hitting a wall with seeing them as a good move future wise but this really changes everything! I can't wait to see what else y'all work on. srsly amazing work!
@@whilykitt That's great to hear! We're so glad this has reignited your interest!
How is this printer different from the old one? Does it still require manually changing the extrusion rate and z offset before every print? That was very finicky and turned me off from using the printer. That wasn't as bad as the conductive ink lifetime though. Every time I wanted to print something my inks were expired (almost always before the expiration date). Also the inks are VERY expensive!
NOVA has a semi-automated calibration routine that makes flow check and alignment extremely easy. In terms of the ink, that more so depends on the kind of ink you want to use. NOVA supports almost any screen-printable/high-viscosity ink. The expiration dates are set by the manufacturers of the inks you're using (not Voltera). Conductive inks generally have a shorter shelf life, as they tend to dry up, particularly if they aren't stored correctly. As for the price, again that depends on your application and the ink you're using, so it's a bit difficult to gauge. Do you have more details on the ink you were using?
What software package have you used for simulation?
We used MATLAB and the PCB Antenna Designer app.
This was stupid. I hate videos like this. He never said HOW it helps with the wedding process... ? Is it used in a ritual so it helps bond the couple together? WTF?
How is better voltera or chemical fabrication
That depends on your specific application and which materials you use. Our PCB printer is best for prototyping. Many of our users will prototype their designs on the V-One, then have their final boards factory fabricated.
Muchad Felicidades ! 🎉
Excellent!! Congratulations.
Happy birthday!!!!
Amazing Video, awesome company. greet Kate from me :)
What about the conductive ink? any info?
Details on our ink can be found here: www.voltera.io/store/conductor-3-ink-cartridge-3ml
Use this semi-automatic pnp machine together looks good: th-cam.com/video/3ZsayoO3BOo/w-d-xo.html
my dad whos an electrical engineer straight up compared solder paste to ketchup :/
Tgf. Fccfff.
what's that Printing technique ???
Our printer, NOVA, uses a technique called direct-ink writing. It's a type of extrusion printing.
Hello Mike! May I know what is recommended temp to keep solder paste in syringe from drying?
The paste won't dry in the syringe, but it will degrade in other ways. Refrigerate at 4-10C to keep it as fresh as possible.
Hey........if no one sucks.........then no one gets hardware........get to work......cheers
Impressive most impressive.
this is pretty cool.
Amazing! I didn't know that the NOVA existed! I honestly think that this could be a lifesaver for electronics hobbyists.
i dont know how this came up in my feed, but as an engineering major, this is gonna be so amazing to mess around with someday, revolutionary even !
Why is this advert showing up in my regular ass video feed
wow
