I grew up in the Ozarks in Arkansas. The former coal mining town had a lot of old ladies, wives of miners, and not much else. My grandma and the old ladies were always telling me stories and warnings. I was fascinated by their tales and spent most of my time with them since there wasn’t any other kids to play with. The women of my family had the Second Sight according to grandma. She trained me when I began having signs of psychic abilities. I’m an old woman now myself. I don’t sit in the woods anymore and talk to the watchers. I’m training two of my grandchildren in their abilities before I go. It’s easy to dismiss folk tales and stories about the primitive world as nonsense, but you should remember that lots of folks still go missing, even in 2024. A walk in the woods and they just don’t come back. Think about that…
