Just swapped oem muffler to some 470mm universal muffler "chinapovic". It's louder and crispier sound comparing to some real acrapovics.

@@theguywithexc8271 I read that your bike had younger headlight and front fender. Now I have a 07 525 and I dont like the headlight and would like a younger years one with the chance to mount cooler headlights. Did you do any adjustments or was it easy to fit? If yes do you need to fit the same year front fender with it or isnt it needed? Sorry for the bad writing though!

@@ijean2478 If i remember correctly. I bought used front mask, light and fender from next gen bike and they were pretty much plug and play so pretty easy to install. I don't have original instrumental cluster so i am not sure how does newer mask fit with stock instumental cluster.

@@ijean2478 I do not remember about fender fitment. I have the 2008-2012 smr fender with mask from same age.

@@theguywithexc8271 Aight, the only reason I would also take the next gen fender is so it fits Nice with the next gen headlight.. the only shitty part about that is, il need stickers for my 07 plastics and than the same stickerset But for the front mask and fender thats younger so il need to buy 2 or ask if thay can mix and match…

Chinapovic😎 Universal 470mm muffler straight from china. Gives little bit crispier sound than usual high quality muffler but i kinda like that.

I believe my bike had ~350h total and 200h after rebuild when i sold it couple months back😓 I had driven ~100h with it without any bigger issues. Had to change some bearings on frame and re-jet carb and rebuild front shocks, but nothing too crazy. But it depends a lot. Sometimes when you have poorly maintained bike or little bit of bad luck and it might get really expensive really fast.

@@theguywithexc8271 nice nice, so like you've experience what most are saying, maintain it and extremely reliable. I really hope I get the same! I heard the new KTMs are super reliable too, but many have had those electrical issues which I HATE electrical issues

@@mrilikeskateboards Yes i've heard they are pretty good too. But carb gives you little bit more freedom for example if you wanna trow big bore kit, you just need to re-jet carb. But also the carb can be annoying to get working properly. Only real electric issue i had was broken spark plug cap and it's also issue in newer ones. Also the light system on my bike was in terrible shape but it was due to previous owners🤣

@@theguywithexc8271 is there such thing as an enduro with a good light system? 🤣🤣 I have a klx450 and redid the entire wiring and replaced all the lights with LED. Sooooo much better!

@@theguywithexc8271 Hi mate. U replace all 4 valves on 40h? I have 450 exc 2010 i guess it's simmilar engine, same valves

On certain rpms, like low to mid without load i hear some weird whining like chain or something but im not really sure what do you mean🤔

@@theguywithexc8271 you can big bore to quite a few different cc 540,570 or even 640 :D I have 525 exc for supermoto and 450 for enduro. Great bikes but I have thought about big boring the 525 but it's only at around 130 engine hours so doesn't need a new top end yet :(

@@gixxer7907 Yeah, i've been tempted to buy 560 smr and put license plates from exc to it but i think the reliability would not be the same🤷 Or 8/06 cam would maybe be nice update

@@theguywithexc8271 yeah I don't think the smr are reliable as exc. Maybe just do what I'm gonna do, when you need a new top end, treat yourself to a big bore kit :D thumperracing have lots of different options for them with different cams etc

Unfortunately not anymore :( I fixed exhaust leaks and re jetted. Now it only bangs in rev limiter. But i'm tempted to make some new leaks to make it sound more wild🤣

@@theguywithexc8271 which jets did you change? mine pops like crazy in hot weather

@@jaunius5972 Changed 41mm carb with ocemn needle, 162 main and i quess 45/48 idle jet. But i am 90% sure that the pops and bangs came from leaking exhaust. This used to decel pop quite a bit and even more in cold weather or with really hot engine.

It is 2004 model but rear swingarm and most plastics are from 2005-2006 models. Headlamp and front fender are from 2008-2011 model.

Thanks. Yeah i've also driven friends 690 and it surely doesn't feel so wild as exc but its much more comfortable to drive on highway and bit faster top speed. With exc you have to wheelie all time so you forget the painfull driving experience🤣

@@sergiodestefano6752 No. Oil 10h, oil filters/screens 20h, valve check 40h. Air filter when needed.

Thanks. Otherwise nice but its pretty cold to drive on fast speeds. Brake line should be stock one or at least i have not changed it.

Pretty much just throttle or little pull and throttle in higher speeds.

Learn it to do it with the clutch and before learn foot break controls, because this is key to safety and a good controled wheelie :)

I think 14-45. Tops out around 150km/h. Been a lot work to get it tuned up but now it's near perfect👌
