I can only imagine the desperation when a movie company came to you and said, we need this poster yesterday. Look at the legacy those decades of insanity produced. I LIVE IN TIME OF DREW. Imagine being able to say you lived in the time of Sargent. Time places us in the realm of Legend. I'm sorry for saying this, but may you never put down your pencil. Love you eternally,Kenny.

Congratulations, Mr. Sruzan. Your posters really influenced me to go to the movies. I would think, "If the poster looks this amazing, the movie is probably awesome!" Thank you. (When the poster of HOOK came on, I totally lost it. I miss Mr. Robin Williams. RIL)

I have been studying Drew for 12 years now. Hes the Best . The Only art on the Planet that gives me goosebumps . He really is the Mozart of Illustration .

Like many people of a certain age, my introduction to Drew's work was when I would walk into VHS rental stores with Dad back in the early 80s, and there was his work ... hitting your eyes like a magical hammer. His posters are just infused with energy ... photorealistic, but still clearly hand crafted ART. His work made my mind soar, and I truly believe they are a HUGE reason why I fell in love with movies in general ... not just poster art. Nothing comes close to his work ... and I'll forever be glad that his posters were pinned to those rental store walls back in the day. They made me dream of fantastic worlds and brave heroes ... and still do.

This guy is such a badass that he became a style description..... can't tell how many times I read in briefings..."I want a "Drew Struzan's style poster". congrats to Drew and all his monstrous body of work.

I agree with many in the video, this honor is long overdue. Your work has influenced my own art and I will always be thankful for your correspondences and advice.

You may never read this but.. I get so inspired my your art work. Every time I see them I just look at my past projects and think I need to be at that level. And I know that your skill and talent came with years of study and refinement but I can't help but want to become as great of a artist as you are. I think for the next 6 month I will really dive into trying to improve and reach your level Mr. Struzan. Even is you never read this just knowing I said my peace will give me a drive to do better. One day soon I will be drawing the next Star Wars poster and bring life back to 2D illustration. Thank you.

Drew Struzan is my favorite artist. I've collected his movie posters since 1984. I have most of his books, and just got his great documentary, "Drew: The Man Behind The Poster". An incredible artist who brought life to the movies through his breathtaking posters!

drew is one of the finest artists who has ever lived. by teaching himself how to live modestly and peacefully, he has gained more insight into creating master pieces than perhaps anyone is the last 100 years. to view his artwork, in my opinion, is to view one of the 50 best artists who has ever lived on planet earth.

Been a huge fan of Drew's work sence Blade Runner. Watched The Man Behind the Poster on Netflix It's good to see him get noticed on the person to person fan level. The above vid with LoTR drawings inspiring. Now to get him to do some Star Citizen Art work. Hope to meet the man in person someday.

Just saw Drew's documentary on Netflix. Nice to see the face behind all those fantastic posters. I am really impressed with his personal work and would like to see more of that.
