Hi , first I would like to thank you for the video . I have one question If the Control Unit Mobile phone component optical cable has a signal and by bypassing this component don't have the audio (I think this must be the last component in series) does it means that it might be the amplifier (failty) , or do I need to search the reaming components ?
I know this is an old post but I doubt it. I replaced both main and aux batteries over the past year or two and in both cases the dash started screaming about them going bad when the voltage started dropping.
Thank you great video. Why can't you just leave the Fiveroptic jumper in place err instead of replacing the telephone module. Assuming not using phone module
I know I'm coming upon this a year after you contributed, but... any chance you could help us out by telling us which of the three fuse boxes the fuse you are referring to is in / possibly also what that fuse # is labelled?
Did you find out which 25 amp fuse needs to be unplugged for the reset? I know there are three fuse boxes and I checked all the fuses and they are fine. This would save me a tremendous hassle. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, John
@@John-ir6xo yeah the fuses are fine, and some people's situation simply removing the fuse and replacing it gets the system to come back up and stay up. When I do it with my wife's, two out of three times it won't come back up and stay up, and the third time it only runs the radio and speakers for about 10 or 15 minutes before cutting out again. I'm worried I have a bad amplifier like some have talked about. But the fuse I pulled now for this is in the trunk, it's the third row down and the top one, I believe it's a 15 amp fuse but I forget the fuse number. There's a TH-cam video that basically just shows a few a fuse diagrams for this year and make vehicle, and I just waited to see wherever it mentioned the stereo or radio or comand to find that fuse.
Same thing happened to my Mercedes. Some water got in the car due to the sunroof left open a night before a rain. Took off front passenger seat and middle passenger seat to get to the satellite radio box. Radio was showing no satellite radio. So I thought that was the problem. There was some water near the box but it was dry. There was a wire not connected to anything soaking on water. Cleaned it and dried it. On the satellite box. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. After that sound came back and radio was showing satellite radio. Hope this helps someone.
I have the same problem no satellite radio. It’s stuck on freezing satellite radio no move forward neither backward. What do you recommend plug off and plug in it back? I bought this SUV recently 320 Cdi 2008. Canadá
Hello sir, My telephone module was good and the radio did not work when i put the jumper optic cable on. However, the jumper optic cable did not fit the satellite module male or female it was too small. Do you know what jumper optic is needed for the satellite radio? Thanks for your help. Very informative video
My steering wheel volume and volume on radio don't go up or down either, I have 2007 r350 4matic, I tried the reset and fuses to no avail. I ordered the jumper pair from Amazon and haven't trouble shot the modules yet
Very helpful video! Is there a reason you didn’t check the fuse box first? And is it possible to leave the fiber optic loop in the faulty component rather than replacing the component?
Any link or where tp get those jumper cables??? Thanks
Great tutorial my radio was working was on shop for batteries and key now my radio has no sound will try this
Thanks dude, just lost audio and sat radio so I'll go order some of those FO bypass things to see if it's the phone or sat radio (which I was using)
hi, could you send me a link to the jumpers?
i tried that and now the car wont even start😂
hi, how did you solve your problem?
Thank you. It was very helpful.
Great video, very helpful. Your diagnosis process was very systematic and easy to understand.
Thank you - my r-320 has the exact issue and I already bought the jumpers so thanks again
Thank you , i have this exact Problem

Hi , how many modules are connected with optical cable I own w164 2006 Harman system .I tried the mobile sat component but It was ok .
Can a bad auxiliary battery cause loss of sound???

Can I do this with r350
BROOOOOOO THANK YOUUUUUUUU

Disconnecting the 25 amp orange fuse, or unplugging and replugging. The components will fix it. It just needed a simple reset.

If you connect the telephone model again, it’ll work, it just needed to be reset by unplugging and replugging

Thanks for the video. Did the volume buttons on the steering wheel work before the repair? Thanks,

Thank you, will try after the Ice Storm.
Thanks for your help with this video location of some of the comppnents
Heyyyyy
I really liked your systematic approach to solving your problem. Good job jumping the fiberoptic network to find faulty module.
Thanks man
Thanks so much!! you were so informative. This has been very helpful. Keep making those videos!
Great Video!! Hard to find info on my 06 R500 with same issue. Thanks for the info. Very helpful!
