how to make a TRANSISTOR TESTER
Saat membuat amplifier atau tahap daya lainnya, sering kali transistor perlu diuji, baik untuk memverifikasi bahwa transistor tersebut berfungsi (masih), dan untuk beberapa proyek esoterik mereka mungkin juga memerlukannya agar sesuai dengan karakteristik tertentu. Keuntungannya adalah sangat fleksibel dan memungkinkan Anda melakukan pengujian komprehensif pada hampir semua transistor bipolar

When building amplifiers or any other power stage, it is often necessary to test transistors, both to verify that they work (still), and for some esoteric projects they may also need them to match certain characteristics. Don't assume that because your multimeter (or small "automatic" component testers) can test transistors that it is capable of testing power devices, because THEY ARE NOT. Collector current is usually limited to a few milliamps at most, and this is completely USELESS for a power transistor which may NOT show any useful gain until it conducts between 10 and 100 mA. This circuit can test any npn/pnp BJT and put it to the test.
The meter range extends from the meter's maximum sensitivity of 1mA in steps up to 1A. The highest rating was deliberately limited to 5 A: even at this current, the transistor will dissipate up to 20 Watts in the worst case, so the device under test should be mounted on a heat sink, or the test should be held for a very short duration, otherwise the transistor will overheat and may (will) be destroyed or seriously damaged.
In 'GAIN TEST' mode, the meter is in parallel with the shunt resistor selected by the 'Range' switch. The measurement circuit is designed to provide full scale with a 10V input, which corresponds to the current ranges. The upside is that it is very flexible and will allow you to perform comprehensive tests on virtually any bipolar transistor

@@pcbaudioCiao, grazie per la risposta. Il mio problema è che ho un amplificatore da mixer, ha sia la regolazione del volume in ingresso che in uscita. Non so a quanto impostare tutte e due quando collego il carico da 8 ohm Mi sembra che questo piccolo amplificatore non abbia quelle regolazioni :)

hi very nice project indeed I have a kind question I see 5:03 that the voltage gain is 7.2 times Is there a way to lower that by changing some value in the schema ? i really dont understand why line preamps have usually such high gain when 2Vrms are usually enough to get max power from a power amp 2 or 3 times would be perfect for me Thanks a lot gino
you have to use preamplifier when amplifier need gain for max power output , tks
@@pcbaudio hi thanks for the kind reply Actually i tried some passive volume controller but the sound is flat without dynamics I think that a preamp is very useful in a chain and i prefer the preamp + power amp solution The BOZ is very nice but the gain a little to much So i am trying to understand if it can be lowered changing some parts in the schema The project is very good sounding indeed

Hi congratulations for your creation In particular i like very much the solution chosen for heatsink Very smart indeed I know the originals and they should output around 45W/8ohm per channel with low distortion I am trying to understand the reason of this lower output Do you have the ratings of the transformer ? if i am not wrong the original should be a 20V-0-20V unit

Hey, upgrade your output transistors to the original 2SD844 and 2SB754 - even get used ones "pulls" - the difference is absolutely INCREDIBLE and worth any money!

All' uscita casse non andrebbe collegato il carico di 8 ohm?
il bias e' la corrente che circola nei finali di potenza e non va sul carico quindi non e' necessario collegarlo

I like push pull amps.I build many of them !pcl86 or el84 are tiny tube but powerful with fantastic sound!Not everyone like SE!

Are you getting 27 watts in class A? That's between 75-100 Watts dissipation? How hot are the heatsinks getting?
