A sustainable world, a world with a fair economy, is not possible without the equal participation of women and men and this is basically a consensus of all the members of the G20, including those invited with the support of the International Organizations.
This consensus is yet another mark that G20 Brasil is leaving on the global quest for equality and care for people.

It's been many years of the G20 and the first recommendation for women in the leaders' declaration was only in 2012. The gender agenda was only really included on the G20 agenda with the creation of the Women's Empowerment Working Group in 2023, during the Indian presidency, and was consolidated under the presidency of Brasil in 2024, when its first meetings took place.
