I remember my friends playing me Piece of Mind back in ‘83 and it blew me away. Never had I heard a metal band play so tightly like a well oiled machine, twin leads blending into a symphony of sound. I went out and bought every Maiden album including Powerslave in ‘84, all except Killers. When I got to college a friend in my dorm lent me his Killers tape saying, “This is their best album. I can’t believe you never heard it.” I became addicted to it and played it every day. After 2 weeks he demanded I give his tape back. I was depressed every day until I got my own copy about 2-3 weeks later. That was 1986 and I still love that album to this day. Not just Maiden’s best but one of the best metal albums ever made, period!!!
