Landbased Fishing During Storms! (NSW)
มุมมอง 1.1K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
James and Kaiden took to a crazy ledge off the rocks in NSW chasing some late-leaving kingfish and Tuna in early May (2024). Many weather apps suggested a light drizzle but we ended up getting hit with over 200mm of rain. The sharks were extremely active, but our target fish were kingfish and Tuna. We got our target kingfish and thought we could have hooked 1 or 2 Tuna in the process which were...

Hey boys if U use the big of timber bolted to the ledge your on there to cross the gap then follow down behind the big precarious looking bolder U will get to the front ledge where the rod holders are and where U kinda want to be for a bluey or a Yellowfin or stray black even. It's a bit sketchy but if your all good using the ropes to get where U are there U should be fine
Hi bro I have been watching ur vids about Tathra im going there in the summer holidays. I was just wondering if you have any tips, lures and spots.
hey mate, tathra is a great little spot across the board. Depending on what your targeting, the estuary is a great place to flick almost any kind of soft plastic and you can come up with anything from salmon and tailor to flathead, bream and whiting. We have had a lot of success with small paddle tail squidgies in the darker colours, double clutch hard bodies, and crush city imposter prawns, which seem to go really well. just switch up your retrieval style depending on what you're targeting. Mostly our retrieval revolves around sinking and leaving on the bottom with a few flicks up of the rod tip (for flathead especially) whereas salmon and tailor like a more active retrieval. Hope this was helpful, always feel free to message on instagram. Good luck
R U alouds to spearfishing in this spot or its not allowed because it's national Park?
3 metres 🤣🤣🤣 Absolutely cracking fish bro! Just subbed!
The painted finger nails must get some attention on the stones..
What hook and bait you use for tuna ?
Caught a 1.4 metre flatty out tweed heads, Gold Coast with my grandfather back in 2006. Definitely some big monsters around like this one. Nice catch🎣
Absolutely mental - would love to see one that big
When were yas there? Is that place open again yet? Love your vodeos gus.
Awesome video keep it up
Nice catch , need to measure properly I think it was just under a meter
Nice video, how did you guys make the custom LBG rod stand?
Rubber clamp base from Ebay and then flat bar from Bunnings. Bend the flat bar to the right shape and drill the flat bar to the clamp.

Hey mate good video good to see everyone having fun good on ya mate
Thanks mate! always a good time when the fish are biting
Decent effort! What setup and bait you using? I’ve had shit luck down there so far!
Thanks for the comment mate! For the most of it we were using light set ups (15lbs braid to 20lbs leader) with soft plastics such as the 80mm prawn paddle tail in typically darker colours (squidgies brand). The flathead were also responding well to the Diawa double clutch hard body and just the typical hook line and sinker set up with pillies, bonito/salmon/tailor cutlets, prawns and squid. We were going typically late morning with a low tide for wading out to the drop off. Hope that helps!
Nice video I want to fish there one day
