Great ear! So I interpret it as going from 3/4 to 4/4 around 3:28 for one bar before going back to 3/4 immediately after. The same thing happens at 4:10 as the vocals come back in, and this time the fill continues past beat 1 of the new bar which is super cool

Hmm I may be wrong but I believe there are two drum parts during that groove which makes it tricky to get it sounding right just on your own. I think both drummers are playing ghost notes at different times and you can hear one drummer playing the crashes while the other keeps the hi hat going. I absolutely love the drumming in this song

I always try to do some warm ups and stretches before I play to minimize the risk of injury, especially during faster songs like this. Thankfully I've never had an injury from drumming!
