YouTubers 1st Tripod, Please Suggest A Better Tripod
This is the tripod I've been using since the beginning, minus the metal phone mount. Tripod came with a plastic mount that broke after 1st use. It was cheap plastic and unstable.
The Victiv tripod is aluminum and plastic, and it works pretty good for the price, about $40, though I got it on sale for much cheaper. It can adjust from 19.5 inches to 74 inches. It has a qr [quick release] mount, also plastic, and easy to break if you over tighten the screw even a little bit. This tripod does come with 2 of those qr mounts. After moving it around often, the ball/socket feet fall off, and randomly, some of the locks on the legs loosen, then the tripod falls over. How I have not broken the camera yet, I have no idea.
So, what are your suggestions for an intermediate level upgrade to this tripod?

Boruit ST12, the 90,000 Lumen Flashlight???
มุมมอง 4121 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Now, I am a fan of Boruit for their quirky V series flashlights. Granted, the lumen output of those lights are overstated by double actual output, so if it stated 1000 lumen, it's much closer to 500 lumens. So I have no idea how a 90K lumen flashlight was figured out. That's about 1000 watts of power, from a flashlight running 3 to 4 watts. Now this 90k lumen rating is on Amazon. But on Aliexpr...

    would you rather this knife or the ka bar dozier in d2? What do you think is better for camping and farm work and heavy dutyness ?

    • @Survival-gyver
      @Survival-gyver 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Both the Dozier and the Feldspar are D2, the Dozier has a 0.11 inch thick Blade while the Feldspar is 0.13 inch thick. The Dozier has a shorter blade length, at 3 inches, and the Feldspar is 3.53 inches. The Dozier has Zytel scales, while the Feldspar uses G10. The Dozier has a Lock-back design, while the Feldspar is a liner lock. For me, I would go with the Feldspar, since its a longer and thicker blade, more comfortable handle material, and my personal preference is a liner lock over a lock-back.

    I wish the driver could lock at 90 degree as well. It just needs to have one more small notch at that position. It wouldn't interfere with swinging out the driver all the wall to straight position. But will be very helpful when you need more torque. Also the 60mm double ended bit is less common than the 65mm ended bit. They don't have much choice since they need to put the button for the blade and the pivot as well. Luckily you can fit a 2inch double ended bit which is common.

    The retractable guard knife is the only fixed blade worth using. Saves toolbags while maintaining the rigidity and simplicity of a fixed blade knife. Good for applications that would strain the mechanics of a retractable blade knife or strain the blade release on the folding variants. My 5-in-1 electricians knife blade release was getting gunked up internally (insulation, dry wall, etc...). A note to anyone interested in the 5-in-1: don't flick the bit holder like the knife portion. Your backup screw driver will become a backup bit launcher

    TIP You don't need the antenna for AM. The AM antenna is built in.

    • @Survival-gyver
      @Survival-gyver 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well no. In AM, a single wavelength is 984 feet for a 1MHz signal. In FM, one wavelength is about 12 feet. Thus, the popular quarter-wave antenna often used for AM might be 246 feet high, and the FM antenna elements would be only around three or six feet long, depending on the antenna design. FM can be used without the antenna deployed.
