In 2022, as we sought the Lord’s guidance for TCF’s future, He placed on our hearts a three-year theme: “Take Root Below, Bear Fruit Above,” inspired by 2 Kings 19:30-31 and Isaiah 37:31-32.
This journey began with the theme of Fullness of Life in 2023 continued with Faithfulness in Life in 2024, and will culminate in Fruitfulness in Life next year.
For the last quarter of this year, our focus will be on Discipleship Revisited: the Heart of True Discipleship. Revisiting our Vision Statement:
A church where the Word of God is preached,
The love of Christ is shared, and the Power of the Holy Spirit is manifested,
for the Equipping of the Saints and
the Salvation of the Lost.
We will explore four key aspects of discipleship:
● Biblical Discipleship
● Relationship Discipleship
● Transformational Discipleship, and
● Missional Discipleship
Following this, we will delve into Discipleship Revealed: the Life of a True Disciple, examining our Core Values by uncovering four characteristics of a True Disciple:
● Intimacy with the Father
● Authenticity in Life
● Accountability with Others
● Authority in Ministry
As we embrace the theme of “Fruitfulness in Life” for the upcoming year, we are reminded that true fruitfulness stems from a deep abiding connection with Christ. Just as a tree must be firmly rooted to bear fruit, our lives must be anchored in faith, nourished by the Word, and sustained by the Spirit. This fruitfulness is not merely about personal growth but extends to impacting our communities and the world around us. It is about producing the fruits of the Spirit-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control-as we live out our faith in tangible ways. Let us strive to be fruitful in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, and reflecting His glory in all that we do.
