How To: Ducati Scrambler Icon Oil Change / Cambio de aceite
A little walkthrough on how I did an oil change on my 2015 Ducati Scrambler Icon. Hopefully this is a good visual guide for anyone out there trying to do an oil change.
I posted this a while ago, but wanted to thank everyone who pointed out to use a 5mm hex bit for the drain plug. A 5mm hex was stripping my drain plug at the time, so I used the torx bit. I didn't realize it but someone may have previously stripped my plug and that's why a regular hex wouldn't work for me.

Quick tip on how to easily remove springs like an exhaust spring on a motorcycle. This method is quick, easy, and you don't have a risk of scratching up your bike or exhaust trying the vice grip method. Changing the spark plugs on my Ducati Monster 695. It's probably similar, if not exactly the same, as changing out the spark plugs on the Monster 620. Maybe a few other models too. Thank you so much for your ingenious technical tip. I'm working on a bike (Honda CB1000 "Big One"" that has a Vance and Hines aftermarket exhaust. In order to install the missing center stand axle bolt, I have to slightly scew the exhaust for the axle bolt to fit. Your technique helped me out when I needed it. Thank you again. Keep-up the great work !!

Sehr gutes Video für Beginner! Achtung!!! Er vergisst den Dichtungsring der Ablassschraube zu wechseln!!! Mir wurde von einem Mechaniker erklärt, dass diese immer gewechselt werden muss. Normalerweise sind die Dinger bei den Wechelkits immer dabei.

Hey I just wanted to say thanks this video saved me in a pinch.
People should spend about 9 bucks if you do exhaust work often and buy an exhaust spring puller. Many years ago by doing this with a zip tie I seriously injured my left hand when the tie broke- if you have to do it this way use 2 zip ties!

should use oil grade 40 or 50 bro? Tks
Ducati recommends 15w-50 but have seen reputable guys use full synthetic 10w-40.

Standart spark plug gap 0.8 mm. But rekommended 06÷07. Need make as in instruktion.

If that's a crush washer and you reuse it it will leak like a sieve.
Good video, very simplistic. One word of note, the rear caliper mounting bolt torque specification is 23-25 N/M or roughly 17-18 ft/lbs.👍

Hi, nice video. A few things. What Torque Setting is it for the Oil Drain Plug Bolt to tighter in Nm? Also, what Torque settings did you torque the oil filter at? So the Oi Filter does not leak? Cheers! I don't think you use a 5mm Allen key. Cheers Though.
Oil Drain Plug: 20Nm. Oil Filter: 11Nm. Oil Strainer Plug: 42Nm. NOTE: lots of places state Oil Drain Plug as 42Nm, which is way too high.

What's the length of those springs?
Couple things: Those that pointed out the screen filter Ducati Scrambler service manual recommends cleaning the mesh filter on the initial (600 mile) service. Second, you should change the drain plug “crush washer” each time you change the oil. Third, you need to torque the drain plug as required.
Do you know the size of the crush washer?
