first think back after injuries, massive jumps in ankle deep water lol
@@thekiteboatparty3568 had a fractured ribs after failed kiteloops 🙂 but in video fully back on track 😂
epic video bro and what a beautiful spot you have there
I bought my sonic 4 12m for foiling but had my most fun with it twin tipping. I can’t reliably gybe on my foil though so thats part of the why. Anyway the lofty gentle jumps with the sonic have re enthused by love for tt riding! When i get my gybes dialed in on the foil i’ll use it more for that. They are a prick when you ditch them in the water though but more cause its way harder to self rescue than because of the bridal lines. Then when you come back you have to wash off the salt and sand and hang it up to dry it if you can’t fly it to dry it. But considering all of that faf and i still love it so much people must realise how fun they are to ride. This and my axis spitfire 720 foil are my fave bits of kitesurfing kit. They both feel like flying on aladins blanket and that even applies to twin tipping with the sonic. You ‘jump’ of the crests of small swells and land over on the crest of one two over almost without pulling the bar in…
Insane aspect ratio compared to the Soul2! How much wind here?, pretty heavy I suppose as twintipping with a 10...
can't remember but probably 20+ knots
Nice video! May I ask some feed back from this Sonic4 15m in term of dynamics and behavior? I and 78kg and currently , I have a Soul 2 15m for light wind days (with a twin tip) It feels like it’s lacking a bit of power in the low end, so I’m considering upgrading to a Sonic 3 or 4 for that extra power.. I’m undecided between the 15m and 18m models-leaning towards the 18m for the added low-end power. However, I’m also concerned that, at this size, the kite might be a bit slow to turn and could feel cumbersome to manoeuvre. Do you think the 18m would be too sluggish, or could it be the right choice for maximizing light-wind performance with a twin tip? On the 15m would be a sweet spot - a bit more dynamic and most probably enough power. Additionaly I believe for my low-wind usage, the Sonic 4 is a better choice than the 3, as more reliable and user friendly kite
@@c.l.4959 Defo go for sonic4 as it's more stable and don't even look at sonic3. Sizes are tricky part. Not sure of your riding skils and what is light wind for you. But sonic outperforms soul in all ways and after spending time with sonic you would defo wont go back to souls. I personally have 10m and 15 sonic4 . Using 15m from 10 to 20 knots and 10m from 15 to 35 knots. Personally would not go for 18m as too big for me and not worth to sacrifice kite speed for extra 1-2 knots at low end. You can add extra 3m extension and you have extra pull. Depends on where you live and what wind you have during the year. If light windy days are common and more than half year then defo go for 18m and you will have blast every single day but if you have medium winds and want to ride 15m in 20knots which is a lot of fun go with 15m kite as I'm able to hold it up to 26knots 🙂 with small board. Soul is more for beginners but sonic4 is more for advanced as you actually need to fly kite and be precise 🙂
@@MrStarkabelis Thanks for all the info-I truly appreciate your comments. I didn’t mention it before, but I also have an 11m Sonic3, although it’s for a completely different program than light wind use, so it’s not relevant to my question. Just thought I'd mention it!
@@c.l.4959 had 11m sonic3 eachh a lot of bad memories 😂 But yeah sonic4 is nice go for 15m and you won't regret as it's perfect size between 12m and 18m
@@MrStarkabelis I finally managed to sale my Sonic 3 11m - but not my Soul 2 15m yet. Soon I will receive my Sonic 4 in 12m and 15m. I hope and believe I will have a blast with them. Thanks for all info provided!
@c.l.4959 you will be happy! Enjoy! 🤗
Ciao seguo spesso i tuoi video perché usiamo le stesse vele la 15 l’ho appena presa e volevo sapere che lunghezza cavi usavi della barra grazie …
usually going with original 20m but recently was flying 23m lines as way more fun with heli loops :)

Love to watch your videos. I've been riding tube kites for years. This year i've bought a sonic 12m and i'm in love. Hangtime is insane. I don't mind that it take a bit longer to setup the kite compared to a tube kite.
@@nielsflushh can't agree more. So much performance. When you get used to sonic4 you don't want to go back to tube kites 🙂
Brave!
Which size do you recommend for 56kilos and 10-15 knots? Sonic 4 10 or 12m? I have heard the 10m needs much more wind vs 12m to have a nice bar feeling?
@@TheKitergirl this one is tricky. If u ride small board would go for 12m² and yeah 10m² needs more wind. If you are advanced rider go for 12m² in 10-15knots will perfectly suit you 👌
Nice jump 👍👏
You make those heli loops look easy
@@simonburch8762 took a while to learn them. But when you get use to foil kite and swing deep enough under kite the massive jank is not there anymore 🙂
@@MrStarkabelis anything you can recommend to get that swing or is it just a height thing?
@@simonburch8762 sheet bar out during jump, keep kite at 11 or 13:00 when u feel that kite loosing power initiate downloop and keep bar cranked all the way down and don't let it go back untill downloop is finished. For more jank during downloop leave bar sheeted 4-7 cm out and for less jank after swinging under kite sheet bar back in and then initiate downloop 🙂
@@simonburch8762 just start practicing from 4-6m height jumps don't go to high 🙂
These tangling lines keep me away from mats. I stick to tubekites.
@@donronaldo5454 well looks a bit scary, but you get used to it and learn how to manage them. I ride tube kites as well but if there is no rain and wind is not mad gusty always will pick my foil kite 🙂
Always check bridles from a tube kite cause they can be teared too!
Interesting. I never thought of using the board as a weight. Do you find you get problems with tip wraps on launch often?
@@bondvillansarebest i was getting more tangles with FS sand bag than board 🙂 Never had any issues with using board. Just make sure it's not carbon board as to light and if u are using regular board that there is np scratches on bottom as will damage kite.
Watching from Sydney :) . What size was the Sonic,? Do you know what the wind speed was? I'm considering switching to Flysurfer from LEI. Great music too!! (Edit)... Just seen the End 10 mtrs
@@wilkothewiz heyy :) I was riding 10m² Sonic4 (I'm 88kg) and other guy 15m² Sonic4 ( he is 110kg). Wind was around 17 knots and 24 in gusts 🙂 very nice kites I use my 10m² from 13 knots to 30knots and over 30knots have Era 8m² tube kite, but very rarely we have over 30 knots so 10m² is my favourite 🙂
Lucky you didn't jump that high :)
Yeah, didn't expect that will go so far downwind 😂
Hi, What is your weight and how many knots? Thanks in advance
@@kevinwilczynski5651 I'm 88 kg and in this video was around 14-15 knots
I am interested in a Sonic 4 5m. I weight 70kg and I have a Monarch 138cm TT. What is the lightest wind you think I could surf comfortably as a started and when I get experienced with this kite, weight and board? Thank you in advance for you answers.
@@gloglebag hey, Sonic4 smallest kite is 6m² 🙂 and with your weight- board combo probably you would be able to go from 17 knots + ...I suppose 8m² would be more suitable for you and bigger wind range 😀 I never personally tested 6m² but I'm 88 kg with 137 board and 10m² sonic4 10m² can go from 13knots just to ride forward and backwards with some 2-3m jumps
@@MrStarkabelis My aplogies for the bad spelling. I have no idea why I wrote 5m. I meant 15m. I feel so stupid. And I meant "as a starter". But i really appreciate your answer!
@@gloglebag no worries. 15m² is a very good choice for light wind days and practice tricks or getting into it... It will get you going from 9-10 knots and you will be happy 🙂

Hello! Did you try Soul 10m and if yes, with which kite would you get more power in low winds?
Hi, Yes I had quiver of Soul2 and moved to Sonic. Definitely Sonic will give more power in Light conditions 🙂 Probably Sonic4 10m can be one kite quiver can go on TT from 12 knots to 30knots. I'm 88kg
@@MrStarkabelis Thanks 👍 Im thinking about getting 12m kite for low winds. And thought about Soul and Sonic. Did you try Sonic in gusty winds? How does it behave compared to Soul? Here at my place are more gusts than in Ireland. I loved Bull Island for kiting when I lived there near by. Im 69kg
@@aleshaborisovich I got 10m and 15m Sonic4. So I'm pretty much covered from 9 knots to 30. Most of the time wind here is gusty and patchy but Sonic4 performing very well and didn't had any issues with folding or colapsing. With sonic3 11m had a lot of terrible sessions due to collapsing and folding from gusts.... but they resolved this issue on new sonic. Soul behaves very well in gusts but it's boaring all round kite.
