I couldn’t agree with you more about this version of Michael. I think what makes it most effective though is the mask. Halloween for is one of my all-time favorite Halloween films. As a matter fact, it’s my second favorite. But the mask doesn’t look the greatest. I don’t have a huge issue with it like everyone else does but it’s a bit off. I don’t hate the mask in five either. There are some shots in that film where it looks really good. But they nailed the mask perfectly in six and it really helps to elevate the performance.

The truth is, the dimensions of the house make no difference. The quality of the film is what matters. Halloween 5 is brilliant. Thus, I can overlook the inconsistency of the house. Resurrection was weaker, and because of that, the closer similarity with the house didn't matter...

I believe he wore it to frame Tommy, because people knew what Tommy has been through, so if witnesses saw "Jason" killing people, Tommy would be the first suspect. Especially because he has the ability to make masks too. Just my take on the matter.

The director has been quoted stating that the deviation in morphology of this Yautja with respect to the individuals in the earlier movies can be attributed to racial variation within their species. The Yautja in Prey is supposed to hail from a different hemisphere of their home planet. Basically, it's a different ethnicity than the Yautja in the first few movies.

I'll go on record and say that I agree 100% with everything you said man! Jason Takes Manhattan Rocks! 😎🤘 That said, I feel the same way about Jason X lol Fun as Hell and kicks ass! ALL that said...I passionately feel the same way about Friday the 13 (2009) reboot! It's amazing! It follows the Friday "slasher" formula perfectly! It SHOULD of jump started the franchise again, but I'm sure the same people that bitch and complain about Manhattan did the same here. It's interesting though because even with the (ignorant) negative reviews , it was a huge financial success! "It received negative reviews, while grossing $92.7 million at the box office on a budget of $19 million, becoming the second-highest-grossing film in the franchise after Freddy vs. Jason (2003)." So I'm not sure why we at least didn't get a Part 2 sequel 🤔 Anyway, is there really a "bad" Friday/Jason movie? I don't think so! Not even close!!! I know this is a little bit unrelated but I would love if for the next alien film in the Final Act a Predator just shows up and gives everyone a surprise. that could be a good way to reintroduce the predator to the big screen and also be like a tease for another AVP only make this one good unlike the first two AvP films.

I think we also need to acknowledge that Tommy had trauma induced mental illness. The beginning of Jason Lives speaks to the ways in which trauma and mental illness can impact those who suffer from it. As far as Tommy’s responsibility for the continued body count, I think Sheriff Garris, Tina from Part 7, Freddy Krueger, and Dr. Wirmer from Jason X all share responsibility.

In universe, of course they would discontinued the '78 mask considering what it's linked to. It makes sense that Myers would steal a knock off mask at the drug store. What bothers me about H4 is that they used a great artist rendition of the '78 mask to market the film instead of being honest.

I love part 5 and I even enjoy Roy as a character. Having said that I would just prefer another copycat killer over Roy being Resurrected. Maybe have multiple killers and call the movie Cult of Jason.
