When I was a kid, I didn't like furnaces in general, they are big boxes that heated a house through oil (our first house and my grandparents' house) or natural gas combustion. They were mysterious to me and scary. That being said, the last couple of houses I lived in had an electric furnace and a small natural gas furnace that's no bigger than an old 2 drawer office-grade filing cabinet that also resembles said filing cabinet.

That means I would need to acknowledge the existence of Gremlins 2, which I cannot do. 😅

It definitely has a more creepy vibe to it. The standardize voice just sounds common, like something you could hear in any movie.

I watched this movie about three months ago and have to say, how have I never heard of this masterpiece? This instantly became my favorite anti-hero revenge movie and am absolutely in love with it!

I would love to have seen it in theaters but considering the fact that I was just an infant I wouldn't have remembered it anyway LOL.

I bought this one in the UK in Sainsburys' stores when it was released back in the day. The art work on the front is the Dawn of the Dead alternative poster when it was released as 'ZOMBIES Dawn of the Dead'. I've so much nostalgia for this release. Great video. Like you I'm also a huge fan of Diary too🙂

I think the terrifier series proves that a gory and crazy over the top series can be successfu.l but much like the terrifier series I think if Hatchet had been given a more wide release it would have been moderately successful much like terrifier but not a mainstream success on the level of michael, Jason or Freddy Krueger.

Easter egg: "Zia" symbol on bedside lamps change to a five segmented flower. This "Zia" symbol was placed just right so that on CRT televisions it also didn't have enough detail to explicitly be the Zia Pueblo symbol, yet the CRT grid made it stand out more.

That part in the beginning when Tommy wakes up in the back of the car, it pans to Roy driving and the bald guy riding shotgun. The bald guy is reading a porno mag. It took me awhile to notice it but once I did I could never unsee it.
