How about starting your first zoo in francias mode to be a breading and recherche zoo.. when you open a second zoo. You already have the good stuff and can make it nicer.?

I usually make sure that my first few habitats are already in an interesting shape. Then I keep them really simple at first, but slowly decorate them more and more as time passes and my zoo grows.

You can still have trains, and they can be very helpful, even without external connections. You might want a cargo airport from the DLC and hook its cargo train station up to another at the industry, for instance. I'm doing this scenario and am using the commuter train from residential to industry and a stadium - just a shuttle service that carries 400 per train.

I'm doing this scenario right now. I stopped today after 202k pop, the hardest part is the grind to 260k. My city is bustling already and I'm running out of room. Lol

use the quiet sign so they can be more quiet and it will make the animals not as stressed!

I began Planet Zoo again, my builds stil sucks, but it quite fun. All the cute animals Hot weather is not for me ether, I love snow...

I started a plains exhibit and was struggling to keep stress down. My animals just kept staying in the same part of the exhibit despite 90% being stress free. I just decided to let them be a bit stressed and had limited consequences

I'm a hardcore sandbox player and loooooove building so the first tip - I'm already sweating lol

A few things I have learned: Gulpee Slushies is the best selling drink stand. All staff except vendors have much higher salary than needed when they start, so make sure to check them and lower down to the bottom of the green line. Increasing the education rating will give you more donations. Habitats can be expensive to build, while the exhibits have one set sum, so I always start out my zoos with one habitat animal with low space requirement, and 2 exhibits, to get the money rolling, and ensure I have 1-2 information stands (for education) & at least one drink stand, maybe one food stand. Then I decorate a bit while the money comes in, before I decide what to do next ☺

That staff roles tip is useful! I'll say that as far as cash goes the butterfly walk through rakes in the cash fast and you can set the exhibit to auto move animals to the trade center. I really wish the inbreeding mechanic was easier to deal with. I really struggle with that one.

Good advice. I think simple and profitable is key. Then later you can always go back (as you said). The tip I would give is to get a few habitats going with cash animals before worrying about conservation credits and more "expensive" animals. Concentrate on doing those first few habitats well (with power, education, and animal happiness). Getting that solid basis is key to affording the fancy animals later.

I'm looking forward to a new franchise as I can see this one ends on the next episode. Also consider putting staff buildings in the center of the zoo and placing guest paths around them. There's no reason for staff to be right at the entry to the zoo. Take care ;)

You have all mechanics assigned to do research. I'm pretty sure they are not gonna visit any habitat unless you'll click on it and urgently request his visit manually. That's why there's a mess. Also sitting on a 500k .. really you need more staff for things to run smoothly.

Make the speed x100 and then try to manage anything.....

I prefer to wait to put tigers in because they’re higher up on the guest appeal and I don’t want to cause a traffic jam at the front of the zoo.

I’m hoping you’ll get to flamingos, peafowl, and warthogs as those are the lower appeal animals I like to start with and then move to the higher appeal animals like hoof stock.

I applaud you for doing this, playing it normally is stressful enough for me

Awesome build! I always really like having enclosures sunken into the ground to allow guests to get the best view possible! I work in pharmacy and every time I see these things I read Bacitracin camel instead of Bactrian camel 😂
