@@fixitanyway4018 i tried again with the original muzzle and it attached right onto the old one and it works now. My new problem is finding an elastic band that is more sturdy.

@@BurgerSoda good luck. I used "surgical latex tubing" and also 3mm shock cord, both of which I had in stock from some Captain Slug builds Chrono'd it at about 70 to 90fps with 4 wraps of shock cord

That's very useful to know, thanks. I had a similar experience in the end. I lost most of the XShot ones, so didn't have many to test. I have at least 3 other blasters which are fussy about darts and only like worker Gen3s. So, like you, I picked up a load of those

I used a battery type called a 3s LiPo (I don't have the exact one to hand to check the brand / capacity). They are pretty common batteries for Hobby Grade RC toys. If you're not familiar with LiPo batteries - I suggest you research them before using one. You'll need to do a bit of work (soldering, shell cutting etc) if you want to use a battery like that with the Speed

@@Simca0503 no worries. If you get into nerf mods, you'll learn to use LiPo batteries eventually. I have lots of RC toys, so always have odd batteries lying about

I'd guess either the batteries are low, or something is dragging somewhere

I haven't tried with mine, but others say standard long (Nerf) and Short (talon, katana, Dart Zone, X-shot) magazines fit. So you can just buy whatever is locally available

I should do that as a challenge shouldn't I - you mean stuck in the breach? I've had a couple fold up and need a very long stick to mash them out again

Start print at 7 am, end print at 9pm, assemble- looks simple, under an hour. Totally doable

It has little sprung detents at the top to hold the mag - how springy they'll be will depend on your material and print settings. On mine, my zinc mag is just friction fit, and so I use it without a release spring. Kinda defeats the point of zinc mags like that but hey-ho Anything more than that, you'll have to mod it or remix the design

There are various versions of this blaster - the version linked in the video description (the Zilent Knight) uses Zinc magazines (see the Zinc 2.0 github for those)

@@TeamPack good luck with the print - I printed 6 zinc mags and 1 or 2 needed some fettling to fit

The Zilent night is a modified version of the orignal Silent Night which uses Worker Nightingale mags - RedCowl on printables has printable nightingale mags that should work in it

That's a shame, I went to a highFPS event (in the UK) and there were quite a few used there. I still haven't compared them like-for-like with Gen3s (my Gen3s have been on back order a while)

i have some gen 3 and i feel like the xshot darts that came with my longshot are better. @@fixitanyway4018
